Very Poor
The bathroom was large but if you showered with the door closed everything got moist because the fan didn’t work. Waste of space.
The hotel was a 10 min walk from the station - and the side hotel sign was in Japanese so unless you can read it - you would walk right past it. Unless you were on the opposite side of the street to read the English writing.
The day we checked in the lady was less than friendly. She never smiled and insisted on speaking very fast Japanese. We both know she and I could speak English as she was a foreigner!!! She was rude! Lucky for her I am Canadian but I can also speak and understand Japanese. When I spoke back in English she didn’t even try. The man working along side her was friendly in more than one occasion during the stay. He would look up a smile and at least say good morning or hello. She would meet our eyes and just look away. Upon check out I purposely waited for him. He was lovely. We stayed there the 11th and 12th of May 2025. If that’s the way she greets your customers she is not doing your hotel any great service. It was a huge turn off.
The hotel is very outdated. Towels are so small. The room yucata barely fits a child. Not all Japanese people are THAT small. Perhaps a choice of 2 sizes would be nice. We aren’t big people. The toilet had trouble flushing and the bathroom shower curtain is light and airy - and kept wanting to attach itself to my body. Very uncomfortable shower. Water pressure very light. Most of this we can look past. What we couldn’t look past was the terrible AWFUL horrible beds. I normally don’t comment on pillow or beds since that’s a personal choice. This time I just have to!! The floor would have been equally as hard. I had to use the extra blankets in the room to put a bit of cushion under my hips or back. We were here for 2 very uncomfortable nights. We have been travelling Japan for 2 weeks so far and this is the absolute worst stay. I wish I had really read the reviews.

The hotel is close to the main station and is only 5 minutes by walk. My mother fell down when we arrived at the airport and her knee got bruised. I asked the hotel receptionist for a hand if the hotel had a wheelchair. Unfortunately, the hotel had no service but the male receptionist was very helpful. He was trying to assist my mother to the room by using the hotel trolley. My mother and I appreciate it so much. Thank you a million times! Hope to stay at this hotel again next time.
No. Everything is nice for me.

Pleasant
Clean.
Overall is good but one thing is the air conditioner is from the hotel management. So we can’t adjust any temp. The outside temperature is good but the room is so hot. Even we try to adjust the heater. There are only low medium high. When I adjust to low. I can’t even breathe. Feel like there is no air. So uncomfortable for me. And I try to open the window. It is locked. So I feel like I can’t sleep at all. Sweating all night

Wonderful
The hotel is conveniently located near Hakata Station and the airport, with plenty of convenience stores and restaurants nearby. You can also walk to Canal City in about 10 minutes, which is very convenient.
The hotel uses heaters in the guest rooms, which made the room uncomfortably hot at night. I couldn’t sleep well because of the heat. It would be much better if there was an air conditioning option available for better temperature control.

Wonderful
Very convenient location close to Hakata Station. Spacious room with large bathroom, unusual for this price range in Japan.
The hotel controls the heating/air conditioner unit and it was very hot in the room when we arrived. But we were able to turn the unit off completely and open the window a bit, so it was fine after that.

Exceptional
The hotel is a little old but remodeled like new, and the bathroom is larger than most hotels in Japan. Also, the room is large enough to open 2 big luggages.

Wonderful
A great location, close to Hakata Station. Really spacious bathroom. Room size was adequate. Quiet on the 12th floor.
The beds are uncomfortable. We prefer a firm or hard mattress but for some reason these were particularly uncomfortable. The room was a bit hot and stuffy and we couldn't open the window.
