The accommodations were nice. Enjoyed the big bathroom. The staff were excellent and extremely helpful! They always went out of their way to assist us with all our needs, especially helping us make reservations and getting directions.
The air conditioning unit only had 3 settings so you couldn’t really regulate the temperature. It got extremely cold even on the low setting. Also we could hear noise from neighboring rooms and street. Unfortunately we were on lower level so I guess it’s to be expected.

I would have rated this a perfect 10 except for one staff member (male) manning the cashier counter Dec 31/ 8 PM- who was incredibly rude and patronizing- the rest of the staff were very kind and helpful. The room was spacious and spotless, and all effort was made to ensure a great stay, acceding to requests like replacing the bulbs in the bathroom to brighter ones. Location was perfect.
Requests by guests should be attended to in a more polite manner and courteous manner.

Some of the pictures online don’t match the actual hotel. For example, their website shows fish in the garden area, but in reality there are none. Also, the room for four people is small, quite dated, and lacks sufficient lighting, making it rather dark. The most important concern is that the service we received from the staff did not quite meet the basic level of attentiveness we had expected. The staff did not proactively place our luggage onto the cart, so we guests ended up putting the bags on ourselves. We are not sure whether this was due to training or simply an oversight. At other hotels we have stayed at, the staff usually greeted us with smiles and were eager to assist, which left us with a very positive impression. Unfortunately, our experience here felt quite different, and we found it disappointing compared to the warm and attentive service we have encountered elsewhere.Furthermore, the luggage was only delivered to the lobby area in front of the elevator, not to our room door. At other hotels we have stayed at, the staff typically bring the luggage directly into the room or at least to the room entrance, which makes the service feel much more complete. Overall, while we appreciate the effort of the staff, the service and facilities did not meet the expectations we had based on our previous experiences in Japan, and we left feeling rather disappointed.

Location was perfect. Easy access to solaria plaza, Mina tenjin. Airport to the hotel via subway was a breeze.
Better pillows. We couldn’t control the a/c bec it was centralized and the weather on our first 2 nights was a little hot.

This was my first visit to Fukuoka since 2001 when I was a poor student lived in that city for 8 years and thought one-day i would go in to have a look. It still has the glamour of end of last century, very classy, room is clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly. The location is in the center of Tenjin, which is not as convenient as hakata ekimae, where is close to bullet train station. But if you like shopping and night life, and plan to stay Fukuoka for more than 2-3 days to tour around taking subway and train. Tanjin is where you stay.
The wall paper and some decorations in the room are a little outdated.
