The staff is what makes this hotel shine. Everyone is attentive and their care really shows.
A bit dated such as the carpet ripping in a few areas but everything else makes up for minor aesthetic defects.

Our room is spacious for a family of 4, it's very clean and well maintained. The hotel staffs are very nice and accommodating. There are restaurants and pastry shoppe inside the hotel, and a convenience store nearby. It's easy to get a taxi in this area. It's also close to a subway station. Overall our stay in this hotel is great.

Japanese female employee helped me to rebook another tour on my cellphone since the one I previously booked was cancelled. The rebooking was difficult for me because it was in Japanese with kanji. She was very nice and went out of her way to help a foreign customer.

Breakfast was good, location great - short walk to Tenjin area. Staff really polite and welcoming. Bathroom clean and bright.
Room and furnishings extremely dated and tired looking, mattress overdue for a change, pillows small and some thoroughly lacking filling (need replacing) so we asked for extra pillows to make up for it. Room could do with a bit more lighting.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great bathroom and water pressure. They have luggage storage, so we didn't have to bring all our luggage during trips to Hiroshima and Beppu. The special amenities for children were cute and thoughtful. Family Mart and 7 Eleven are nearby.
Everything was great! If there was a shuttle to the shopping area, it would have been exceptional. ?

This is quite possibly the most pleasant and friendly hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff were excellent and couldn’t do enough to make our stay amazing. I would rate this hotel 11/10 if I could. Thank you for such a lovely experience.

Great location (right by watanabe-dori subway) and elegant hotel. The buffet was excellent, the room size was great (executive) and the massage chair was a treat. Views from the rooms were nice (I was on 12th floor).

The location is really great, a few steps away from the subway, very convenient. It is clean and the personnel ist really friendly.
If you add the tax and service to the price that booking.com quoted, the bill is a bit more than you expected.

This was the second time staying at the Hotel New Otani Hakata and was another EXCELLENT experience!!!
During a breakfast buffet, I encountered a large group of men crowding the entire breakfast room before their tour. I was unable to enjoy my breakfast until an hour after the entire group departed because they ate all the food! But the host and servers were very, very, apologetic!!!
