Very Good
Beautiful hotel, room
Buffet could’ve been better thought out; the layout of the buffet made it hard to queue up and navigate, given it was all in a tight corridor. Also, they do not set the table so you have to get your own utensils and napkins, meaning more trips to the narrow buffet corridor. Also, we required laundry service and were asked to drop it off and pick up from the front desk — wish they had a more discrete approach that didn’t involve us lugging around dirty laundry.

I had a wonderful stay, but what truly impressed me was the service after I checked out. I accidentally left my Apple Watch in the room. The staff were incredibly helpful and honest—they found it and went out of their way to mail it back to me safely. It's rare to find such trustworthy and dedicated service. Highly recommended!

Good
It’s a striking piece of architecture. Beautiful inside and out. All-day food available for staying guests. Centrally located.
We booked several rooms, some had 2 adults and 2 children. Booking.com recommended the rooms and when we got to the hotel rooms, the beds were exactly the same for just 2 people. Those with kids had a very uncomfortable time trying to squeeze in 4 people in 1 queen bed. I asked front desk whether these rooms can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children and they just didn’t answer me and issued me the rooms. On that note, the staff don’t seem to know much to help their guests, unless it’s lost in translation. Front desk should double as concierge for their guests in case we need assistance in food, booking etc. the system in contacting front desk also is erratic. They should’ve just had a phone in each room. There was also an incident of some guest who happened to be one of the staff friends, who was rowdy and drunk and yet his fellow staff friends didn’t tell him off to be civilized and respectful or just leave. The actual hotel guests, ourselves included, found it very annoying and we all left the dining area. Also, I lost one of my room keys and was charged for it. That’s the first time I had to do that and it wasn’t cheap for a card. Lastly, immediately after check out, it seemed like the staff switched from attentive and hositable to, snobbish and rude. Our flight was late in the afternoon so we had to wait eventually inside the lobby area and staff didn’t allow us to drink our drinks we bought from 7eleven despite us having been guests for a week! The kids were thirsty and hungry and they just kept telling us not to eat/drink in the waiting area. There were a handful of staff members that were very notable in keeping the warmth and assistance with us and we really appreciated them. But the rest were quite inexperienced with how true hospitality should be.

Wonderful
A really wonderful hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Location was very handy and walking distance to most of central Fukuoka.
The included all day buffet was very handy with a wide range of foods.
The decor of the hotel was very different to normal hotel and added to the experience.

Wonderful
Stylish, international, great food, wonderful tube in the bathroom.
Lack of facilities and restaurant choices within the hotel, noisy mandarin speaking customers with lack of parenting children running around.

Wonderful
The buffet was very well executed by the hotel. The chocolate was outstanding. The room was clean and newly remodeled. The housekeeping staff is doing an excellent job.
I think they should add more coffee options than the automated machine. You can't have 50 peopme at a buffet waiting on a coffee machine.

Wonderful
I felt the rooms were really great, the beds amazing, and the hotel itself was quiet and peaceful and really well located on the edge of Nakasu and Tenjin. Cool architecture as well. The staff were all great and surprisingly every one seemed to speak excellent English. Very multinational crew amongst the hotel staff.
Blackout curtains in the rooms would have been nice. They did not completely keep the light out in the morning, waking me up early. I would have preferred a booking option where I only paid for breakfast. As it was I am not a big fan of buffets, so having those included ended up being not so useful for me as part of the reason I was in Fukuoka was for the restaurants _outside_ the hotel. Also, while the pastries and desserts were very impressive, I would have liked a bit more variety in the buffet lunch and dinner and some healthier options (though there was a very nice salad and tomatoes option available as well as nice fresh fruit that had been cut up).

Wonderful
Love the design of the building!!!! It’s so uniquely constructed and styled, especially the choice of colours, feels like we’ve been transported into a Wes Anderson movie :3 also love it that there’s all day buffet!!! A nice selection of foods for each meal, so convenient for guests staying here :)
Not having gym or pool but that’s not a big deal

Wonderful
Room is huge by Japanese standards
Bed is very comfortable
Lots of little extra carefully planned details and amenities
Buffet food available all day
Staff very nice and helpful
Off quiet street but near Tenjin and Nakasu
Do not pay extra for a balcony - we hoped for view of river but ended up with no view except into building next door hence we didn’t use it
10-15 min walk from subway
Expensive compared to other Fukuoka options
Buffet food is essentially the same, needs better variety and rotation
Staff and guests not Japanese if you are seeking an authentic Japanese experience

The best part about this hotel is the free all day dining food! It tastes really good we even skipped some of the meals to come back and eat at the hotel! Menu varies throughout the day and the bread options was so delicious! Highly recommend for people who don’t mind having to explore local food for every meal.
