This property was like a haven in Aqaba. The ambience is just perfect. The pools are lovely, with a great Jacuzzi. Beach is fantastic! Ice cream was a highlight with some great restaurants.
They upgraded us to a Suite which made our stay extra special.

Breakfast was very poor. No balcony in the room. Every evening a music event until around 11 pm. Very loud music, so we had to close the window.

Nice place. Kind of fine.
The singer and dj that played in the main part of the hotel until 1030/11. The volume meant sleeping was impossible until then.

The location of the Movenpick Residences was great. It is right next to the centre of downtown and just a few blocks from the suk, Ayla and the Aqaba fort. The room was very clean and the turn-down service was nice. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast area was nice.
Be aware of the shakedown!! There was no warning, signage or mention during the reservation or check-in process that NO food or drink is allowed from outside the hotel. Really? My room had a table and 4 chairs, a kitchen sink and a full size fridge. It wasn't until we returned to the hotel and went through security that we were told about these restrictions. The security person said that we could bring in our wine and beer if we paid a 50 JOD fee. This is about $100 CAD or $70 USD, more than the stuff was worth. When I complained to the front desk, I was told it was a "corkage fee" , while someone else told me it was for safety reasons. Hmmmm...
The staff is generally friendly and some are helpful; however, information and advice is inconsistent, and many staff members in information- providing positions speak limited English.

You are not allowed to take food to your room/apartment which makes a holiday with kids unnecessarily difficult. The food in the hotel is very expensive

The hotel is beautiful and located right at the beach. We really enjoyed the pool and the beach. The restaurant and the breakfast were also great.
The service could be better organized. We waited around 30min to check in, even if there were only 3 people in front of us. The staff (or the process) could be more efficient, especially during rush hours. Also, I wrote to the hotel asking about tours before my arrival, and no one ever replied. We still really liked the hotel, but (considering it is a five stars hotel) these points could be improved.

Nothing is nice in this place, the experience at Movenpick was really really bad and terrible.
Everything is below standards, the staff is very rude and no minimum requirements of service available, I wish I did not go and lost my money for nothing. if in my hand I would give rate below zero
