From the veranda at Drapers Guesthouse you can see the sea and listen to its music day and night. The staff are exceptional. The owner has an excellent chef who welcomes your choices from the menu with individualized options. The room staff instill trust and clean regularity— and do the extra job if you ask. Drapers Guesthouse is ideally located right next to beautiful Sancho Beach, which is a non-populous public beach where you can find privacy and tranquility. A few hundred yards from
Drapers’ front gate is the lovely Frenchman’s Cove, which has an approximate $20 entrance fee, and not 3 KM away is the exquisite Blue Lagoon, which is virtually free. The Lagoon offers some of the best swimming in the world.
Carla Bulotta, the owner of Drapers, is an excellent host who knows the area like the back of her hand and who is generous with her time and offer of suggestions. Carla is also very dedicated to Jamaican communities and does human rights work in Port Antonio, Kingston, and in other areas of the island.
There is no better place to stay on the north coast.

Great value for the area and Carla the owner is very helpful and lovely. I felt at home even though I stayed just one night. Appreciated the mosquito nets and flexibility with breakfast choice
The house is quite cluttered and the rooms needed a bit of insulation, you can hear everything at 7am when everyone is awake.

The breakfast was delicious: omelette with as much toast as I wanted; tea/ herbal tea and fruits - citrus, papaya, pineapple.
Perhaps freshly prepared Jamaican chocolate tea could be offered or lime leaf tea to showcase the variety of beverages in Jamaica.

Carla and TJ went above and beyond In my situation. I ended up staying in a different room and it really felt like home for the four days that I was there.

Breakfast was excellent. Omelette with chopped banana, pineapple or papaya on the side and generous helpings of toast and tea. The dinners were excellent: a choice of fish, chicken or beef with rice and salad, pasta and vegetables.
Heavier curtains on the front window to shut out the security light at the front gate of the property.

I really enjoyed staying at Drapers San Guesthouse. Carla was super nice and hospitable. The location is really good to visit nice spots in Portland. My favourite was Winnifred beach. i enjoyed my meals at my guesthouse and every bit of my stay.

The rooms were modest but clean and functional. There were fans in the rooms and the water pressure in the shower was good. The kitchen was fairly well equipped (bring your own coffee-maker though) and there was a dining room that accommodated up to 6 people. Additional seating was available outside. The WiFi worked well in certain areas. Nice and quiet public beach was just five-minutes walk away. The staff was friendly; especially the owner, Carla, who was keen to make sure that we had everything we needed to feel comfortable during our stay.
We were able to park our car inside the gate, but inquire beforehand, as the space is scarce.

Place was passable, I need somewhere to sleep for the night and I got that.... the host was amazing...love love her personally . the security was very helpful. I also love the fact that I was very close to the Beach. :)
I wish my room and bathroom was a little bigger. but I guess it was worth it for the price. Bathroom door needs fixing...I forgot to mention this to my host... the place needs a little renovation...
