Rooms were very spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Dev in the bar area was exceptional...so nice and attentive.
Late at night there was quite a bit of street noise from my windows.

Location was good near the center but not overwhelming
At StarHotels they ask you at the end of your stay if you would like to add an optional tip for the staff. Obviously when they ask you in that manner it is impossible to refuse. Thus the rates are actually higher! This is somewhat of a scam.
Bar staff was not as good as the rest of the staff.

Clean and beautiful hotel in the heart of Venice, amazing and kind staff who went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. They left us a kind welcome gift and letter upon our arrival to celebrate our honeymoon. They had a pillow menu allowing us to select pillows that were more customized for us which allowed us to have an amazing and restful stay!
Location is in an extremely busy area, this was a positive for us but may not be the right choice for someone looking for a quieter stay.

The staff was very kind and accomodating,
But the room was even better. The well appointed room had a super comfy bed, great air flow in the room and a wonderful deep bathtub for a soaking bath at the end of a
long day of walking. The daily buffet was bountiful with delicious fresh juices, eggs and anything else you could want. The location was very convenient to both San Marco Square and the Rialto Bridge.

Excellent location.
When I called front desk it was immediately responded I never experienced such quick service!!!

Tip was added at the bar automatically which I asked to be taken off.
I was also asked if I wanted to tip the housekeeping staff.
Unacceptable to ask that.
I was born in Europe and understand they make a living wage not like Americans who live off tips.

Location is good
The room I booked, the suit the most expensive option they had, very old and neglected, needs urgent renovation, there was no heating and the room was really cold, when we asked for heating the staff informed us that it was not possible. They had only paper cups for the tea or coffee, and a lot more deficiencies, eventually we checked out 1 day earlier since we wouldn't beat it any more, we asked for 1 day refund and they refused even though we didn't stay. This hotel is very bad in all terms, it's a disgrace for the Italian hospitality.

The room was comfortably furnished, and I had a great view of the rooftops from my window. The location is very convenient to get to all the sites, and it has its own water taxi stop. The staff was terrific with helping me plan transportation to Trieste for a cruise. Everything went smoothly. I would definitely stay here again.
