The receptionist and housekeepers were really polite. We were thankful for them to preparing our room as quickly as they can. The room was clean and comfortable. It is located in a good place.
Of corse we went to Venice during the carnival and prices were really high and there are no bathrobes. In Rome we paid 80€ for 2 days here we spent more than 100€ per 1 day ?

I confirm previous comments about location and view, to which I would add our playful adventure of the late self check-in procedure, that very much resembled to an escape room challenge, all of that in fantastic XVI century building, it was an unparalleled experience for a teenager!

My first trip to Europe so i didnt know what to expect. Location was great! View of canal from the breakfast area was beautiful ? Furnished quaintly and moderate. Shower needed updating and a good bleach cleaning. Staff was exceptional. So friendly and helpful! The elevator is super tiny like most in italy. Lots of stairs to get to lobby. Breakfast was good. Pastries, hard eggs, yogurt, fruit etc. We had a tiny room with single beds but it was adequate if your not planning on spending any time in your room other than sleeping
The shower needed to be cleaned with bleach. Chaulking and tiles needed fixing.

It was not in the busiest part of Venice, but easy walking distances to the sites and boat transportation. We walked from and back to the train station with our luggage. But boats are available from the train station. The common area/breakfast had an incredible view of the Grand Hotel.

It was a very beautiful and clean room and the location of the hotel was so nice. very close to ferry station and in a nice street full of beautiful shops and cafes. The lobby area was so good with an outstanding view to the grand canal.

Great location! The staff were very helpful. Very spacious & had a beautiful view onto the canal.
The only suggestion I would make is when you enter the courtyard, if they have a motion sensor light come on sooner. Coming in during the evening, it is very dark.

Amazing location, just a dream view from breakfast. The rooms are so clean and the standard rooms are very spacious. Aircon is fine not sure why others complained. So much character with this building. Just a short work from the realto bridge. Breakfast was simple and fresh and they even supplied complimentary cake in the afternoon which my husband loved. Staff were really helpful and we just loved the place

There was a thunderstorm the night we stayed and there was false ceiling which was like a tile that opened and closed the entire night . It made a terrible noise the entire night and we Couldn't sleep. The next day when we informed the hostess, she was very rude and did not even acknowledge the problem. She just said sorry and then did not even turn to our side after that. They were very inconsiderate! I would not recommend this place.

The property is on the third floor of an old building and has beautiful views.
The rooms are clean, comfortable and charming.
The breakfast is spectacular and you will not leave hungry. The food was fresh and portions large. Enjoy.
The property does offer arranging third party water taxi transportation to and from the airport. It’s pricey, but worth doing at least once! The water taxi takes you directly to property’s pier… just wow.
Lastly, the location was perfect.
There’s absolutely nothing negative to say.

Great location, right in the center of the city. A pretty Venetian old school building. Nice, cozy and quiet in the room. The staff is friendly and nice. The breakfast has the usuals although it's not the typical open buffet style. The view from our room was great, looking towards the canal. Even the Rialto bridge is partly visible.
If you're disabled, you'll have a hard time here, it appears. Though it has the basics and most everything you need, the hotel is pretty small with certain limitations which is to be expected in central Venice, I suppose.

This is a hard one because I recently found out that a lot of people book hotels in Mestre - outside of Venice proper - to save money. It’s just a short train ride in. I wandered if I would have done that, if I had known. The answer is - no. This hotel is not grand or luxurious but it’s in a lovely old building right on the Grand Canal and I was thrilled to be able to walk into the lounge in the morning and head to the balcony to watch the bustle of the canal. Its location is perfect - five minute walk to the Ca d’Oro water bus stop. If you are traveling solo (as I was) or if you have bags it’s easy to get on the water bus from the train station and save the cost of a water taxi (roughly 80 euros!). The hotel has a gracious courtyard and shares the building with a couple of associations and businesses. You take the small elevator to the third floor and all the rooms are on that floor. The staff is wonderful - very accommodating and responsive. The room was pleasant - clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom with excellent shower. I would stay again to have the convenience of being in Venice and not a train ride away.
There are no negatives - just realities. It’s a small, boutique hotel with older furniture and limited amenities but for the money (and how nice the staff is) it is a bargain.
