The beds are a bit ‘short’ for tall people (> 1,90 m ?), feet are hanging. And feels a bit humid in the summer in the basement area.

Not much to dislike. The bathroom and shower was a bit tight. However, considering all of the buildings in Venice, are old, there are some compromises to be made. Would we stay there again, Yes.

Breakfast provided by the hotel was the ONLY satisfactory item.
The staff was discourteous, No facility was provided in the room.
the kettle and required tea/coffee sachets were not provided even after repeated requests.
It completely avoidable.
I would never recommend such a hotel.

Location was brilliant, a short walk to top spots. Good size room and bed with comfortable pillows. Decent breakfast with freshly cooked eggs. A very pleasant stay.
The room would benefit from a tea/coffee facility.

This is a very nice hotel just off the main busy area around the Rialto bridge it's tucked away in a quiet little square, which for a newcomer to Venice can be a little awkward to find, however I have since discovered that the Santa Marina has a small advantage over other hotels which to a newbee is very beneficial to know, this little plus is at the back of the hotel it has a small canal and it's own pier so you can order your taxi from the airport and it will take you and your luggage to the hotels back door. They will even order you a taxi back for your departure....this service is not cheap but it is very efficient and stress free which is what we came to Venice for.
The hotel's location is quite central on the island so all attractions are in easy reach and with lots of shops bars and restaurants to refresh and entertain you as you walk to see the sights I would say the Santa Marina was a good choice for us to get the best out of our stay in Venice.
Our room was very nice clean, modern and comfortable.
The staff were very helpful, spoke good English and were happy to answer any questions we had, breakfast was good too lots of choice and even a glass of prosecco was available as we found out it's not uncommon for the people of Venice to start the day that way.
Would we stay here again YES absolutely and would bring our friends as we are confident they would enjoy what we have discovered here.
Thank you Santa Marina and look forward to seeing you again hopefully sooner rather than later.

For the price we paid, nothing offered in the room.
Even when we asked for the iron, they said it was not possible to have.
