Reception staff (front desk), location, good breakfast buffet, good housekeeping, tour info for Venice, transportation services, ability to communicate in English. Responded to emails in advance of the trip.Good for American tourists.
The rugs could be replaced. No common area to relax outside the room. Nothing else negative to say.

Excellent. Breakfast was abundant and tasty. The hotel was located directly across the intersection from Mestre train station, you couldn’t get any closer. This gave me pause because I think that location at the train station means that the hotel can easily cut corners and offer less than perfect accommodations without fear of losing clientele. However, my fears proved wrong, and the hotel was very pleasant and well run.
The breakfast room was large and busy and noisy, which is perhaps inevitable in such a large property. The tables were left unbussed for a while after guests left. Not something I usually care about, but considering that this caused me to hunt around for a clean table on both mornings I had to notice. There is a noisy nightspot that seems to share the courtyard space, and even though I was up high I had to keep the windows shut to block the noise.

Being right across from train and buses was wonderful. My husband uses a mobility cart and the room was accommodating and accessible. Hotel was Clean and restaurant on site was good and convenient

Directly across the street from the train station. A 10-15 minute train ride to Venice. Suggestion- set up your phone to use your credit card- then it is a simple tap and go to ride the train without having to buy tickets from a vending machine. When I was in Venice, I knew that I made the right decision to stay in Mestre, seeing people navigating their suitcases through narrow crowded cobblestone streets up and down bridges over canals. And there a lot of stairs when crossing canals over bridges in Venice. Venice is not handicapped accessible.
The hotels in Mestre are more modern. Now, if you can afford to stay in one the central Venice hotels then go for it. By comparison, if I would have stayed in Venice , for the same money, I would have been in an older building, without an elevator and sharing a bathroom.

The perfect location. Right next door is the train to Venice. Hotel was exactly as expected for the price.

We requested 3 twin beds , which they did accommodate but, it was like sleeping on ironing boards, hard and narrow and, its roach infested . They might want to address that !! The location to the train is the best part, restaurant downstairs for coffee was a bonus but, the neighborhood isnt any you'd want to explore . A ruff section of boarded buildings so, for us it was sleep , shower..train out .
Beds ! Cockroaches ! Would stay on the Island next time !

The location was great, right across the street from the train station.
Our room was on the sunny side of the hotel making the room extremely warm. The AC was shut off for the season. We could not sleep with the window open because of the loud noise from the street and train station below. The staff provided us with a fan which kept us cool.

It’s directly across from the Mestre rail station so I could roll my own luggage from the train to the hotel. It’s also a convenient 15-min taxi ride to Marco Polo VCE airport (€60 cash at 4:30 AM, €5 more to use CC).
The toilet was broken from the moment we walked into the room; we didn’t have time to see if we could get another room as the staff let us check in a few hours early. The water kept flowing and then flushing so we had to turn on and then off the angle stop between uses. It was a waste of water not to and was irritatingly noisy if we didn’t. We told the front desk when we checked out (they apologized; it would have been best if they had given us a discount, too); my friend didn’t want to report it earlier because she didn’t want workers in the room while we were away all day. There are no towel hooks in the bathroom for hanging the massive towels—the hooks we used were by the front door (weird location). The shower stall floor is slippery when wet; it would be good to have a gripping surface so older people are less likely to slip and fall. If you fell, there’s no way to reach the emergency cord because it’s unreachable from the floor of the stall. It would be good to have an extra pillow in the closet to add to the bed pillow that’s so flat. I don’t know if Italy makes 1-2 serving milk containers, but it would be great to be able to buy one to have on self-packed cereal. Quick bites to eat in the onsite restaurant were expensive and not very healthful (ex. fruit cups). Front desk staff were very pleasant and also accommodating to our request for a very early morning taxi reservation.

Ample breakfast choices. The location across from the train station is so convenient for any kind of luggage. The mattress was really comfortable.
The 8th floor carped outside the elevator was torn, and we had a big carpet stain in the room.
