The location was excellent — right on the Grand Canal, next to St. Mark’s Square, and surrounded by many shops. The staff were generally nice, and the rooms were beautiful. We loved almost everything about the hotel, except for one particular concierge staff member working on the night of 25 February.
The hotel helped arrange a private water taxi from the station to the hotel when we arrived, so we wanted to book the same service to the airport when we left. However, he told us we needed to book two water taxis and two vans, because we would have to “walk 15 minutes” from the dock to the airport with our luggage.
I told him we would check and confirm again. After checking, we found that the “walk” is actually an easy 5-minute walk inside the airport with travelators, so we informed him that we only needed one water taxi, just like when we arrived from the station.
Despite this, he still proceeded to book two water taxis and two vans. When we confirmed again that our group and luggage fit in one taxi and that we did not need the vans, he showed a bad attitude, sighed loudly, cancelled the vans, but still insisted that we needed two water taxis, saying that the airport trip was different from the station trip.
We felt uncomfortable, especially when he told us each taxi would cost €300, for a total of €600, but we reluctantly agreed at the time.
The next morning, as we still felt the price was too high, we asked another concierge staff member if we could just take one water taxi. They were friendly and professional, and told us that if we fit in one taxi before, it would be fine this time as well. They also said that if needed, they could easily arrange another taxi in 5 minutes.
In the end, the water taxi driver only charged us €200.
This made us feel that the concierge staff member working the night of 25 February may have tried to mislead or overcharge us. He was a big bald gentleman.
This was the only negative experience at the hotel and during our entire trip to Italy, which is a real pity.

Great location. Right next to Luxury shopping and Piazza San Marco.
€1900 per night will get you a tiny room with a tiny bedroom facing the "Canal View" which in fact is Gondola and public boat parking. This "executive suite" had no bottled water, toilet was leaking, the space was a joke, hot water took 20 minutes to heat in the shower. The "living room" of the suite was 100 sq ft max. No room setvice after 11pm. Ordered beer twice, both waiters never showed up, suite looked nothing like the room in Photo. My 6th stay in Venice. So far the worst. Your large hed is just two very hard single matresses. Not worth the money at ALL! For the same amount please stay somewhere else.

The location was good but not the best, the water taxi next to the hotel doesn’t go all the places or stations. The corridors are cleaned and has a good smell, the deluxe room are big enough for one person, the bathrooms are good as well.
When I checked in the hotel they put me in very narrow tiny room as superior room while my booking through booking.com is the deluxe room which should be larger! The decorative / throw pillows was smelly , very bad smell, it is very obvious that had not been cleaned for ages!

Location is the only thing to like about this hotel as it’s next to deck. This will save you the hassle of walking around with bags if you’re not traveling light.
I didn’t feel the value for money! For the room rate I was charged, I expect more. For instance, there’s no complementary coffee or water in the room. I couldn’t control the room temperature despite adjusting it on the wall mounted controller.

The front door to the hotel leads out into the entrance of The Famous “Harry’s Bar” that Earnest Hemingway frequented. Having breakfast canal side inside the hotel restaurant was amazing also! The hotel is centrally located, has fine dining, and great amenities. Awesome experience!

While the concierges were generally friendly, the Reception staff were uniformly awful. The charge against my card was incorrect. When I questioned that through the booking.com messaging platform I was ignored. When I raised it in person at the front desk I was told I did the wrong thing by not emailing through their website rather than the booking platform and I was wrong to question the amount because they would sort it out when I checked out. A really bad experience overall.
Regarding the hotel generally, this is a third class hotel masquerading as a first class hotel. Sure, the towels are changed twice a day but the room is so small that it is impossible to have two people in it at the same time. The shower set-up is dangerous with a huge step out of the shower from a slippery bath base with nothing to hold onto. The hotel restaurant decor is entirely souless and the waiters generally uninterested or downright rude (I had the cheek to object to a table in the corridor). Yes, the view of the Grand Canal was lovely but this is no way to enjoy a stay in Venice.

Clean and great location.
We were not notified that the room A/C is only on/available dependent on the exterior weather temperature. So, our A/C was operational and not operational the following nights. It became stuffy overtime. Drinks and food were slightly expensive as compared to other local restaurants and bars.

A hotel shop offering basic necessities, water, snacks, sundries, etc. would be an important addition as going into shopping districts at inconvenient times(late night; rainy days, etc.) is difficult and often unavailable as shoppes close relatively early
