Wonderful
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Marte. The room was very clean, spacious and beautifully decorated in classic Venetian style. The location is excellent — quiet and comfortable, yet close to the main attractions and transport connections. The staff were extremely kind, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. We truly felt at home

The location of this place was wonderful and the room we had was overlooking one of the many canals. Great service and location.

Don’t recommend it if you have big languages.
The staffs were so nice and helpful.
The location is close to venice SL train station and you need to take a boat bus to the center

The staff was great. Felt very welcome. Rooms were clean and bed was reasonable. The location was great for our purposes.
There were over 20 steps from the entrance to reception and the lift was not working. A bit challenging with luggage. The elevator up from reception was working.

The location is perfect with nice restaurants and transport facilities. The staff is also nice to you.
The biggest problem is walls are not sufficiently soundproof. We can hear neighbors and their TV anytime.
They also complained to us using the hairdryer for too long (!), because it was not powerful enough.
Moreover every 15 min starting from the morning, boats nearly have to honk before passing the bridge, you can give up your sleep in.

Super cute and centric. The staff it’s just lovely (they let us check-in earlier and stored our luggage), attentive, and super knowledgeable! The place is just what my mom and I needed (safe, NO bed bugs, and amazing location) only 8minutes away from the main train station. Would love to stay here again.

The staff was amazing. I arrived jetlagged and exhausted and the amazing woman at the reception desk (I am sooo sorry, I forgot her name!) realized that I was not due to check in until the next day! Luckily, she had one room remaining and she upgraded me to that room for a small fee for the duration of my stay. It was a lovely room overlooking the stairs and the canal. The staff are very helpful and really make this place special! The hotel location was super close to Guglie water taxi stop and across the canal from Jewish Ghetto area. It borders on a residential area which I loved as I was not interested in staying near the madness of Rialto or San Marco.
This was my first time staying in Venice so some of these challenges are not within the control of the property. If you are a light sleeper, you will hear the crowds and the water taxi horns, even with your windows closed and the AC turned on. This is a shame because the weather was perfect for sleeping with the windows open. I tried that the first night and couldn't do it. I am not sure if other rooms are affected, but there was some mechanical sound all night long underneath my room that also made it a bit difficult to fall/stay asleep. After a couple of nights, I got used to it. You will have to carry your luggage up @20 stairs, but that's clearly stated in the listing.

We needed a hotel immediately due to an emergency, and this one popped up on Booking.com with a great last-minute rate. The listing mentioned a private external bathroom, which was a bit confusing, but we decided to book it anyway. The layout was interesting and worked out perfectly for our needs. Unfortunately, the air conditioning didn't work, which was a significant downside. While the price was great, I wouldn't recommend this location for a stay longer than two days. The hotel name is San Peter Angles - so confusing hotel names are different that the booking.com and when you get the confirmation another name
Need a few details fixed, hooks, better instructions on how to get there and in the property, perhaps shampoo and soap! We did get towels.
