Great breakfast and attention.
More mosquitoes in the room than guest at the hotel, and there is a dengue warning in Venice. Should fumigate.

Location is convenient to the train station to get in and out of Venice easily without a long ride on the boat. Nice view on a canal.
Giudecca is not very nice and the hotel is a bit cramped; shower was tiny. Coffee was undrinkable, German standards not Italian, and pastries nothing special, better off around the corner. Hotel was recommended to me but I regret not just staying on Lido where the service is much better.

The hotel’s peaceful location on Giudecca Island offers a nice escape from the crowds and noise of central Venice, making it a great place to rest after a busy day. However, due to the disappointing room conditions, poor service, and lackluster breakfast, it’s not a place I’d choose to return to.
What disappointed me:
- The room provided was not as shown in the booking photos. It had a small window facing a dirty, half-broken balcony under construction - felt more like a basement than a hotel room (pic attached).
- I booked a “no view” room, not a “bad view” one. There’s a difference. A bit of effort - like cleaning the balcony or adding a plant - would’ve helped.
- Staff refused to change the room, citing the “no view” policy, which felt dismissive.
- Housekeeping and overall service were poor. On our second day, we returned to find our room door left wide open -fortunately, nothing was stolen.
- Breakfast was very limited - no fruits and barely any variety.
