The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent-just steps from a vaporetto stop and close to San Marco Square. There is an elevator, too.

Hotel located 5 minute walk from San Marco square.
Hosts were very kind, cool and good guys, they explained everything what I asked with pleasure and from the heart!
It was example of good hospitality!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fontana. The location is perfect — we could easily go back to the hotel while strolling around the main island. The station to the airport or Murano is just a few minutes’ walk away, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Having a lift in the hotel is a big plus. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean with everything we needed for our two-night stay. Highly recommended!

Lovely old world charm with modern amenities… modern bathroom and a wonderful elevator! Diego was a great host; very helpful and friendly & the other front desk (24 hr) receptionists were great too. Super clean. Great location close to the Grand Canal yet tucked into a quaint little square with good restaurants close by. Highly recommend it.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly! Also, the location of this hotel was superb as it was about 7 min walk to St. Marc's square. There is an abundance of good restaurants right around the hotel and the staff made two excellent recommendations since we arrived there late in the evening. There was always someone staffing the desk to ring us in regardless of when we'd return from eating or sightseeing. We felt extremely safe here. Transportation to and from the hotel from the main train station is very easy using water taxi's or water busses (highly recommended). The hotel breakfast was also very good although we only used it twice as there are so many excellent diverse options nearby. We thought the value of this hotel was excellent given what someone could otherwise pay for in Venice and we would absolutely stay here again on a future visit.

Fontana hotel is a great place to stay in Venice. It is a small hotel, family-run and operated, located within 5 min walk from San Marco Piazza. The hotel rooms are comfortable, clean, the building has an elevator (huge plus). Staff is very extremely helpful and friendly. Strongly recommended.
Offered breakfast is not great, could be improved.

I really appreciated the helpful staff. They made my stay easier with their recommendations and help managing my tours.
I would have appreciated an option of tea or coffee in the room. But I understand they didn't want food in the room.

Location was great. Close to all the things you want to see and short walk to main lagoon.
Breakfast was a good value for the area. Nice continental breakfast.
Had a bar / sitting area just off the lobby and prices were much better than expected for a Hotel.
The staff was great, helpful, and knowledgeable about the off the beaten path places to eat, etc.
Really, nothing.
Everything met or exceeded expectations.
If anything it was they only had soft boiled eggs, and I like hard-boiled.
Can't find any flaws on this stay, would definitely stay here again.

I loved the staff at the property. The location was amazing, you’re in the midst of venice but close to zaccaria ferry terminal so you can travel
Wish there was more toilet paper in the room, if you didn’t have your room cleaned then you didn’t have an extra roll in case you ran out in the middle of the night
