The cost was moderate
There was only a sheer curtain (no blackout contain). Bed was uncomfortable. There is no elevator and to reach the room one must walk outside, climbing stone steps which get wet and slippery when it rains This resulted in one of our party slipping, falling and sustaining substantial bruising. The breakfast is minimal. The manager was surly and never bothered to check on the person who fell, even though the fall was right outside the office.

Property is superb, spotlessly clean,breakfast very good, the decor in the corridors and rooms is in stunning material on the walls with rope/embroidered accents, very impressive.
One of our party thought the bed was firm but that’s hotels for you, I’m ok with it.

That we found a place outside of Venice, the costs for the room, the lovely terraces, that Murano has a fenced dog area where they can get off the leash. Also a big thank you to the lovely lady at the reception! Your tips really were awesome.

- the smell of our room and no heating in the bathroom (story time): when we arrived we noticed a pretty bad smell (mold like and very strong). First we didn't think much of it. We aired the room several times without any success. So we gave notice at the reception. The next day; we put the cleaning sign up, went to the "breakfast" for a few minutes and wanted to explore Murano with our dog afterwards. Back at our room we got confronted, ah sorry, shouted at (no joke!). He would like to clean our room, but since the dog is inside he is not cleaning it. The smell, he added(since we didn't say something from the beginning), isn't coming from the room, "the dogs smells". He wasn't even inside. The next day we had an official letter on our door (no real communication or apologies from the men that shouted) which said"we cannot clean the room when your dog is inside". Totally understood. Again we just went up for a few minutes, ate and were ready to go outside and already they started cleaning. Even without a cleaning sign they just went inside when we weren't there....
Worst Hotel experience ever! Because of the bad attitude, the horrendous smell (all clothing and bags are still smelling), no communication with the guest (lady at the desk completely excluded) we left early!

Easy to find, room is small but we were just staying the night. Breakfast was more than we were expecting. The reception also call to make sure we would be checking in before she left for the evening!

Breakfast was as always good, not a Buffett or the like but a good genuine decent start to the day, not unhappy at all.
Beds need to be a little more comfy and shower head a little more conjuncive to solid and comfortable water flow.

The owner/manager was friendly and good to deal with, the other staff less so.
Bed was hard and thin, pillows were rock hard. Room was tiny, there was no heating (this is not a big problem for us, but we weren’t told at check in meaning we’d been COOLING the room when we tried to heat it). Bathroom was outdated and smelt.

Quiet location in the middle of murano.
Surprised that there were no windows in our room. (Had skylights - Velux windows). That was unexpected and meant that there was no view at all.
Breakfast choices were ok but not sumptuous. Eg no toaster or buns. Small choice of fruit.

I ordered a double room I have mobility problems and when I arrived I discovered there was no lift and 2 flights of stairs to get to the room on 2nd floor European/ I asked for comparable room on ground floor and reduction for breakfast which was also on second floor and inaccessible to me. This was refused. I was provided with a much cheaper single room in the annex but no reduction for that either. This was totally unacceptable

Interesting hotel on Murano which represents good value for money. A good location near various shops and restaurants. Comfortable room. The room was located at an interesting distance from reception.
Breakfast could have had more variety. The second floor had some unexpected architectural features which were unexpected.
