Felt like a home away from home. The host was very friendly and kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Whenever we had a question or required something for our room, she was quick to respond. Overall 10 out of 10 experience.

The location was ideal for navigating around to see the highlights of Venice Once off the water taxi the walk to our room was relatively easy No stairs to cross, access was made easy. There was someone there to meet us as we informed them that we were arriving later than expected because of the train delay. They were very accommodating, lovely people. They offer a very modest breakfast with pastries, fruits, meats and cheeses, boiled eggs, jams and of course cappuccinos and espressos A lovely little dining area.
The only negative part was the beds, they were somewhat hard, of course I'm used to sleeping on a pillow topper. If you're a side sleeper you may end up with a little soreness, my son, traveling with me had some sleep issues. I sleep on my back and don't move all night, so when I would wake, I would be stiff. Perhaps Valentina, which was very accommodating in every way would consider maybe something on those beds for more comfort. It could also be optional per traveler. Some people like a hard bed and some people like a soft bed. Merely a suggestion.

Location was great - right in the middle of everything. Very friendly and helpful staff. Large clean room with views of a canal.
Breakfast was not as expansive as we had hoped for the price. Wonderful homemade croissants and rolls, but, other than boiled eggs, no other protein.

It was a cozy and charming little hotel. Very clean and Valentina ( the owner) was exceptional. She made us feel welcomed and gave us recommendations of where to eat and what to see in Venice. We had a wonderful room overlooking the canal. We watched the gondolas go by from our window which made our stay here even more special. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel Casa Petrarca’s exceptional location is its greatest asset. Situated just minutes from Piazza San Marco, the hotel offers unparalleled convenience for exploring Venice’s main attractions. During our day tour, we had enough time during a lunch break to return to our room to freshen up and use the facilities — something we’ve never been able to do at other hotels due to distance.
The staff was welcoming and made check-in effortless, adding to the positive first impression.
Our room was quite compact, even by European hotel standards, which meant navigating around luggage required some creativity. However, the smaller space did have one unexpected benefit: the air conditioning cooled the room quickly and efficiently.
Despite the limited space, the hotel’s prime location and friendly service make it a solid choice. The convenience of being steps away from Venice’s most famous landmarks outweighs the room size constraints.
We would definitely stay at Hotel Casa Petrarca again and recommend it to other travelers who prioritize location and accessibility.

Location is wonderful. Hostess is very caring and treats her guests very dearly.
Extremely pricey for the size of the room we had. Small double. Never heard the term before. Paid a good amount but was extremely disappointed with the room. Hardly any room to walk without bumping into something. This should’ve been a CAD $100 room. I PAID WAYYY MORE.

Was excellent value for the money! Wonderful staff who were very great to communicate with, while the rooms were small it did the job for us personally and overall the location was perfect as it was 5-10min wall to all the sites
