Beautifully designed. It's an old Venetian palazzo, and it feels like one. The copies of Canaletto paintings make sense(the building is Canaletto's birthplace) and are, of course, gorgeous. The breakfast area is small but well-tended. The room was excellent in every respect. The location is close to Rialto but off the bigger streets, so it's quiet at night. All in all, a very lovely place to stay. We were only there two days, but if I ever go back to Venice for a longer stay, I will definitely keep this place in mind.

Wonderful
Staying in a central location is a must when visiting Venice. Hotel Canaletto afforded us a short walk to everything we had on our itinerary. The staff was always pleasant and engaging. Our room was very clean, as was the other parts of the facility we sat in or wandered through.
The breakfast was very good. However, for the staples like scrammbled eggs, there is a small serving tin on the buffet table so the staff needs to keep on their toes to ensure the offerings remain available.

Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Location perfectly situated between main attractions (rialto & San Marco)
For price, continental breakfast should be included. In room refrigerator for drinks was not cool enough. Bathroom appliances need upgrade.

Poor
One of the stuff who works at the reception was so rude and his behavior was unexceptible. They make sentences like “do you understand english, if you not there is a many translate applications etc.” They didn’t listen the client and didn’t wait to finish the sentences but just one of them was like that.

What a beautiful hotel! The room was perfect and gorgeous, the staff was super friendly, and breakfast was great! Location was walking distance to Rialto and St. Mark's, so it was easy to get to by vaporetto or walk to many great locations nearby.

The location was a major plus—just a short walk from the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. The breakfast was good, and the room was spacious and comfortable
Everything was within walking distance, with plenty of shops and restaurants just steps from the hotel, making it an excellent base for exploring the city.
The only downside was that the air conditioning was centrally controlled and couldn't be adjusted by guests, so during the Venice heatwave, the room wasn't as cool as we would have liked.

Disappointing
I had a frustrating experience regarding airport transportation at this hotel. When I asked for options to get to Marco Polo Airport, the staff booked a private water taxi without ever disclosing the price. It was only the next morning that I discovered the cost was €190—far above the typical market rate. When I expressed that I did not want to proceed with this booking, the staff refused to cancel, claiming they had already paid on my behalf, even though we had not yet left the hotel.
Furthermore, the staff misled us by insisting that a private water taxi was the 'only' way to reach the airport, effectively pushing a high-cost service. However, after I challenged this, they suddenly suggested we take a regular boat/bus, contradicting their earlier claim that no other options existed. I felt pressured into a service I did not agree to and misled about my travel alternatives. I would caution future guests to be very careful when asking the hotel to arrange transportation

Amazing location, friendly staff. Rooms were cool, shower was hot and strong. Very accommodating to our requests. Offered luggage storage after checkout. Great for families. Very quiet at night. Excellent value.
Some stairs required for luggage, and some walking with luggage will be required. (About 5 minutes from Rialto). Beds could be softer.

Wonderful
This is a beautiful hotel with very classic style. Beautiful walls, marble bath, and Marino glass chandeliers. Delicious breakfast. The staff was so helpful.
Many steps to get there and had to walk up one set of stairs to get to elevator.

The location right between the Rialto Bridge area and San Marco Piazza - 5 minutes to each. Restaurants and shops all nearby. The room was spacious and well air conditioned. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was very modern with a great shower
We had a great room on the 2nd floor but you had to walk up one floor and then take the elevator one more floor up. It made getting the luggage up and down more difficult. The breakfast was just average.

The location was very good. Breakfast was much better than an average hotel breakfast. The staff was helpful. There was a nice decor in the rooms. Overall this hotel was better than expected, as was Venice in general.
The room we had was on the small side, but nicely decorated. Larger rooms are availabel and it is worth spending for the extra space if your budget allows. The bathroom was cramped and had little room to store toiletries. Sewage was pumped out of the hotel at the end of our stay which created a bad odor in the lobby and breakfast room. That was only as we were leaving, otherwise it was not an issue.
