(almost) everything was good: a nicely designed hotel, amasingly located, with a great personnel

Great location!! It was a very easy walk from San Marco taxi drop off. Definitely recommend using Google maps to find the hotel and basically everything in Venice. Very friendly staff, who offered to help with any reservations or recommendations we may need. The breakfast had everything we needed to get the day started. Disappointed in the size of the bathroom, very small. The bed was comfortable

Hotel Becher was incredible. The location was perfect, including our room with terrace overlooking a smaller canal (in my opinion far more beautiful than the Grand Canal). The breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed it each morning on the hotel's small jetty. The staff was also gracious enough to accommodate a late checkout since our train didn't leave Venice until 2 p.m. Also, sometimes I am afraid when booking hotels that the provided photos are misleading; not the case here. Everything is just as picturesque and stylish as shown in the photos. I can't say enough good things about this place. You will not regret your choice to stay here.

The location is exceptional and it wasn't too expensive for a room of that size in San Marco. It's small for sure but the bathroom was well equipped, it had a full size bed, and I didn't need a huge amount of space anyway. It's also a very short walk from the San Marco pier, so for €18 you can take a ferry from the airport and end up quite close to the hotel.
This isnt the hotel's fault in any way, but obviously with August weather in Venice being exceptionally hot these days, the AC unit in the room didn't seem up to the task. It cooled the room down and I slept fine, but for people with sensitivity to heat, it may be a concern.

When I travel abroad I like to stay in places of history. Becher did not disappoint. The room was small but perfect for 2 of us. Staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying here.
AC was broken, but the staff made sure fans were provided which made the room very comfortable to stay in.

Their A/C broke down but thankfully the weather turned a comfortable temp at night with the windows open. Watch out for mosquitoes if you do that. They provided compensation for no A/C

IT WAS LOVELY TO WATCH THE GONDOLAS PASS BY. Definitely get a canal side room.
The rooms are small but you suck it up to enjoy view of gondolas.
