The location, near the Rialto Bridge. Coffee and snacks machines with amazing prices.
The staff. The woman who worked there April 27th/28th, wouldn't even try to speak a single English sentence despite working in a hotel who serves mostly foreigners. Rude and aggressive with us because a family member(who is pregnant) went upstairs for 2-3 min to use the toilet.
Apparently, saying words like "Please", "sorry", "excuse me" and "Thank you" is above her communication skills.

The location
The room hadn’t been cleaned or bedding changed when we arrived fairly late in the day.
Aircon not working. Had to leave the window open a crack and got eaten alive.

Fantastic location 3 minutes to Rialto- 7 mins to San Marco. Clean and friendly cleaner.
Tiles not layed properly, moving and dirt coming up. Could leave a couple of extra pillows, only one per person and flat.

The room was clean. The staff was excellent. They were friendly and helpful. The room was small but it was more than adequate for my needs. The bed was comfortable. I was a lone traveller,so chose a the lowest room rate. I shared a washroom with one other room and there was no issues at all. I had a sink in the room to wash up ,but went a few steps down the hall for showering and toileting. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

There is very little noise cancellation between rooms, could hear conversations very clearly from the next room.
Location is fantastic, but the rooms really need upgrading, the shower was mouldy in places, could do with more pillows and the TV was very high up the wall!

We have stayed here on many occasions due to the price (it is good value for money) and location (Rialto area).
Check in is easy - plus if you arrive late (good old Ryan Air) they send you a door code to let yourself in so you do not pay extra for staff to meet you - they simply get your information the following day.
Its not a B&B (they don't advertise that they are) but the have a brilliant coffee vending machine and also one for bottled water and snacks (really cheap) - the coffees are small but only 80c (unfortunately the machines don't take card so ensure you bring change if you want to buy anything
Room is large - only one pillow each - but we simply asked for another and they were there for the next night
Hotel is a bit tired and although clean could do with some updating and a lick of paint.
The shower door (part of it was missing this time (not usual) and a curtain was in its place. It was clean, but I really don't like 'curtains'
This time the bathroom smelt - unsure what caused that - as again we have never had an issue.
Bear in mind if you choose the cheaper rooms you will hardly get any natural light as they are close to another building (may be good in summer when its hot though)
Our neighbours were extremely 'amorous' and noise was an issue - not the hotels fault but something to bear in mind
