Apartment was clean.. ell furnished and just as seen in teh photos. host was responsive.. sent all the access information and someone met at the apartment to handover the keys.
The apartment is in the 2nd fl. There's an elevator.. but it takes for ever to go down or up. and the stair well is not lighted at all. It is so dark and one could trip /fall. Though the apartment is relatively close to the main street with shops /restaurants, the street is almost deserted after 9 pm, and the street feels haunted. ( this may be common to many Venice BnBs). Pls make sure to use Google maps. Apple maps take you to different location.

Away from the crushing crowds yet still within reasonable walking distance to the most highlights and the railway/bus station there lies this spacious, well-equipped, well-heated (in winter) apartment with great vistas of the waterway, where you may soak up the city's original atmosphere, strolling, sitting in charming restaurants and bars, and paying visits to the places out of the beaten path. Wonderful place.

The apartment was in a quiet location overlooking a tree-filled courtyard. Shops and restaurants were not far away and the building next door was hosting a small exhibition as part of the Biennale. The rooms were spacious and the balcony had a nicer outlook than shown in the pictures. A good place to return to for a break from sightseeing! It was nice to meet the owners (most of our check-ins on the trip were remote) and a problem with the coffee machine was sorted quickly.
Although the apartment overlooked a rare green space in Venice, none of the chairs were facing the view. The sofa was facing the opposite way (to view the TV) and the layout of the kitchen area meant that you couldn't see out of the windows from the dining chairs. A couple of moveable easy chairs would be a great addition. The apartment could also do with somewhere near the door to hang coats, umbrellas etc. The towels were a little skimpy and the shower door arrangement was a bit odd. None of these are huge things but they would make the difference between a nice and a great apartment.

Our host was lovely- met us in arrival & gave us a really helpful overview of Venice.

Absolutely wonderful! Perfect location in a real neighborhood, just a 5-minute stroll to the Strada Nova, but closer to some marvelous local ciccheteria. Giacomo is a great host, always available via text, even arranged a porter to take our things to Santa Lucia on checkout.
