Located just 8min walk from Piazza San Marco is this quaint hotel. Pruili is actually a local chain of several properties in Venice - Hotel Casa Nicolò Priuli certainly is one of the more budget options among its portfolio, but offers a high standard. Despite having its own entrance/lobby (which is never staffed), you actually check in down the block at the Palazzo San Lorenzo; this is also where you will have breakfast and any other hotel services. Hotel Casa has a nice sitting area decorated in the typical Venetian style on the 1st (along with an out of tune piano), which I never saw anyone use. The rest of the property is guestrooms. I had a Superior Room with Canal View, which featured windows overlooking the canal and Chiesa di San Giorgio dei Greci with its leaning tower; it was a nice experience being able to start and end the day overlooking this typical bit of Venice. I liked the room, which is modern with an updated bathroom all clad in marble, with antique furniture touches here and there that adds to an authentic old world charm; bonus points for the Murano chandelier that anchors the room. The king bed was comfortable with a mattress pad; the room also contained kettle, tea/coffee, mini bar/fridge and safe. I would describe the room size as "cozy" for 2 people sharing, but that is common in this city. The location is close enough to all the big tourist sights, with numerous restaurants nearby (I really enjoyed Ristorante alla Conchiglia downstairs, the food was excellent), but still far enough to avoid the tourist bustle - an added bonus is that just 1 block further east, you get a real glimpse of local Venetian life, residential buildings with children playing, laundry hanging out the windows, and Balio Market featuring real Italian (ie, non-inflated) prices for groceries and snacks. Breakfast at the Palazzo San Lorenzo was nice and varied. AC worked well via the Mitsubishi mini split unit.
There is an elevator, albeit a super slow one - and you'd better be prepared to forget personal space because even 2 in this elevator is a squeeze. The rooms by the canal mean a view, but also the morning noise including garbage boats and water taxis floating by. Prices are obviously high in Venice everywhere (especially a nicer well-kept property like this) - but there's no real other hotel amenities like gym, pool, etc so value is a little lower

Charming area. Nice and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good.
We did not know we were in an attic room and 5 floors to walk up and down. The ceilings of the bedroom were angled so we both had to be very careful getting in and out of bed so we didn’t hit our head

Wonderful
The hotel is in a prime location for visiting Venice, a short walk from the vaporetto station and close to main attractions and quaint restaurants. The room we stayed in was on the main floor with windows to the canal and gondolas at our doorstep. The hotel staff are very friendly and attentive and the included breakfast was excellent.
The split beds are extremely narrow.

The location was perfect and central to everything in Venice. The staff were fantastic and incredibly helpful. The rooms were comfortable and quiet.
On most occasions, the restaurant for breakfast was good however food could be a hit and a miss.

Very old classy rooms with beautiful antiques and rugs. If you get a canal view it is well worth it. Was on top floor with canal view and room was big with marble everywhere. Lots of storage and seating in room. Right near the St Marks Square. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else
No elevator so if you are on a top floor you have to carry luggage up flights of stairs. Staff will do that at check in though. But checkout you probably need to be able to carry luggage down. I felt bad for the senior senior citizens.
Food was great for breakfast.

Wonderful
This hotel had the most comfortable bed we slept in during our entire travels in Italy, and we stayed in 6 different hotels. This was one of the only hotels that provided us with conditioner which was a nice touch. Who knew hotels in Italy don't really provide hair conditioner. We enjoyed the convenience of the ATM at reception and the professionalism of the front desk staff and photographer that we booked for a family photo shoot.

A hotel full of character and charm. Loved our terrace overlooking the canal - worth paying the extra for this outside space. Really good breakfast with plenty of options. 5 minute walk to Piazza San Marco. Lots of lovely restaurants in locality. Take line 1 vaporetto from the station as it takes you on a great ride down the grand canal under the Rialto bridge. We took a gondola ride from a gondolier based just outside our balcony - he took us through all the quieter smaller canals which seems a more authentic look at Venice. They all seem to charge 90 euros for 30 minutes. Worth doing for the experience . A great stay.
The air conditioning could do with being a bit more powerful although the heat was extreme this week.

Location is perfect! Very charming hotel! We loved it! Breakfast was also good! And would definitely stay there again when in Venice.
I would say the fact that there was no duvet on beds- Just a thin layer of cover... and the AC position was not the best as its right on top of the entrance door and was coming straight on my kids' beds.

Hotel tried to charge more city tax that booking.com had informed, hotel also tried to charge minibar which we did not use.
Hotel is obviously suggesting restaurants they own or have some kind of deals, be free to use the ones in fromt of them, they were very good instead of what hotel said…

After the first day Room Cleaning - there was a very bad smell in the room… strange as everything (bed sheets / towels,etc) where all good. Could it be the filter of the vacuum cleaner?

The hotel is perfectly located, easily accessible, very quiet, great breakfast and very friendly staff, great air-condition (very important when outside temperature are reaching 40...). A bit expensive, but this is Venice city center...
