The quality of the property is good. We were only in Venice for 2 nights so I wanted a property guaranteed to deliver a hassle free stay. When reviewing other properties I had read issues with smells and humidity. This place is newer and well maintained.
We found the decor a little dark but that is a design issue and has no bearing in all the positives.

Wonderful
Hotel was a very nice one, we arrived on my husband's birthday, and they prepared a nice card with bday wishes and decorated the room with a lot of balloons, Staff was very friendly, especially desk officer Toni, special thanks to him, breakfast was also tasty. We also liked the location, we could feel the Venice vibe, meanwhile it was not so touristic and crowded.

I had mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary and they went above and beyond to make it extra special for us.
We really appreciated the extra effort!
It's just a beautiful hotel, the best location possible, close to everything but still in a quieter area.

The breakfast staff were very kind and efficient and friendly. Breakfast buffet had a large and plentiful variety from yogurts and eggs to meats and cheeses and pastries, plus cappuccino and coffee and teas.

Staff, in general, was excellent. Great location along a canal with nearby boat service to other neighborhoods; the area was highly walkable itself. Excellent restaurants nearby.
The price of drinks from the bar was excessive, compared to venues only a few steps away. Some dusty surfaces (up high) in the room, and the drapes were unnecessarily bulky and unwieldy.

The location was really great. Like a 10 minute walk from the train station (very doable with roller bags, just bumpy on the cobblestone), and in a non-touristy area but still super walkable to restaurants and everything! Really glad we stayed in this area. We also really liked our bathroom haha! It was pretty big and had a rainfall shower plus hand-held. AC worked great as well!
The bedroom itself was pretty mid. Extremely basic room with like just a random chair. The rooms are decorated kinda weird too - like really gawdy headboard and lamps, but pretty much nothing else in the room so it was very bare-bones, making the gawdy feel even more weird and cheap. Hotel could improve on that for sure. The hallways were also super dark and kinda creepy feeling. Hotel could do better on that front, but it was a great location with nothing to complain about other than styling the rooms better haha. We didn't eat breakfast so can't comment on that. Also something that really made me upset is they messaged us asking to review them but to not give anything less than a 10/10 review rating, which this place definitely does not deserve a 10/10! Also it's so tacky to twist reviewers' arms into giving a specific rating...

I loved the location, it was relatively quiet and away from the crowds but close enough to get to all the things. We could sit outside by the canal and enjoy the scenery without a lot of people walking by.
I didn't like the breakfast or the lack of coffee. I prefer to have coffee available without asking staff.

The Hotel was in a very quiet end of town and very accessible to water taxi with Tre Archi stop just steps from the hotel and Gugli stop for both Alilaguna and ACTV within mins. Room was quiet. Fairly spacious.
Room 005 was supposedly an upgrade from our room. It was spacious but handicap accessible. Cons: bathroom smelled of sewage at times to the point we covered the drain in shower with a towel,(discussed with front desk but they said that is how it is in Venice. Our travel friends had rooms on 2nd and 3rd floors and no issues so it must be certain ground floor rooms)
Pillows were very flat and hard, bed was semi-hard and lumpy? in places. Room was very dark with black and gold decor. large black drapes, black walls...just too dark for my liking even with all the lights on and drapes opened.

Easy access to the vaporetto that takes you anywhere you need to go. Clean and staff was friendly. Great view of the archi from our room.
No balcony, but that's not unusual for Venice....we didn't see hardly any. However our view of the canal was stunning.

The front desk clerk had said he placed us in an upgraded room. Wonder what original room looked like. Maybe a broom closet.
This is the second time using booking.com in Italy. Will never use again!! Hotels seem to give you 2nd rate room because you booked with third party. Carnival Palace was not a 4 star hotel! I have photos of dirt and mold and would be happy to post them. Staying at this hotel ruined my stay in Venice. Breakfast was average.

Nice location for the visit of Venice close to the train station and to the water bus. My parents enjoyed their room it was clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast too good value.
We arrived to our room and it smelled like the sewers and the sink was blocked. My parents room that was on the same floor and just two rooms ahead in the corridor didn't have any smell. The staff claimed there were no other rooms available for the night and attempted to clear the blockage and get rid of the smell and they managed to unblock the sink but the smell stayed. Given we were only in Venice for one night we decided to stay but it really ruined our experience. The staff did waive some fees for us to compensate which is appropriated but I hope they fix their issues. They claim it is related to the usual Venice tide issues but clearly not all rooms had this issue so it was a problem with the room. For the money they charge per night I expected better.

Staying in Cannaregio had a much more calm and unique vibe than the busy areas of Venice. Enjoyed the area very much and the location was great for us. Staff were helpful and nice during our stay.
Didn’t like the push to upsell wine at the bar. I unknowingly selected a 15 euro glass of wine, whereas I could get a similar glass for 6-7 euro at any restaurant in the area. We were looking for a nightcap at the bar, not a formal wine tasting. Be upfront and let people know what they’re buying
