Location is easy to access on foot from the train station and Piazzale Roma. Comfortable bed, friendly staff, excellent breakfast.

Location was right on the canal, 5 minutes from the train station and 15 minutes walk from the bus terminal. There was a water pick up point at the hotel. A complementary trip to Murano was offered, and was very informative. It's a quiet side of Venice but very easy to get to Piazza San Marco. Staff were incredibly helpful. Room was gorgeous

Beautiful hotel with a great staff. Somehow both extremely convenient to everything, yet isolated enough to escape the chaos that is Venice in the summer. If you are arriving by train, this hotel is very close, which avoids dragging your luggage for blocks through the narrow alleyways.

Lovely hotel on the water. I highly recommend the prestige room with the canal view. The decor is beautiful and the view stellar. The hotel staff are incredibly warm and helpful. It’s a five minute walk to the train station. The area is a little removed from the hustle and bustle of other areas, which is nice.

Amazing stay at Canal Grande Hotel! The staff were exceptionally friendly, warm, and helpful throughout our entire stay, making us feel truly welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was superb—beautifully designed, very clean, and extremely comfortable. The highlight was definitely the rooftop balcony, which gave us a lovely and relaxing view, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring Venice.
The location is fantastic, right by the Grand Canal and very convenient for getting around. Everything about the stay exceeded our expectations, from the service to the comfort and atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice!

What great staff! We were welcomed and shown our room, which was like stepping back into the grandeur of the furnishings provided to Venetian nobility. The front desk then willingly spend 5+ minutes helping us orientate on the provided map, recommending a great place for a late lunch and suggesting we take the #1 water taxi down the Grand Canal as an inexpensive yet impressive orientation to the entire city. The location was ideal--close to the train station yet isolated from the streams of visitors that were moving to and fro. All in all, we are super happy we found this lodging.

The location was very convenient. We were able to walk from the train station. The rooms were nice and very comfortable.
The only disappointment was the restaurant recommendation given to us by the front desk. The food was just okay and over priced.
