Wonderful
Been to Venice several times, and this was the best hostel I've stayed at so far. The room was in the attic, with exposed wooden beams and rafters, and a window over the city and a bell tower opposite the window. Beds were comfy and large, cosy interior, an electric kettle the room with coffee and tea provided was a nice guest.
Another great thing was the location. Of course, being in the historical part of Venice, every location is a great location, but the hotel was in the very center of the city, 200 meters from the Rialto Bridge, which meant it was the best spot to visit every other destination around. Just several feet from the apartment - a small SPAR shop, a fish market, and several nice bacari/bacaretti, like the famous Al Merca or the Barcollo Bar.
Definitely the mosquitoes, but this is the feature of Venice itself, so you probably can't get rid of them anywhere in the city. Also, the WiFI was not working for the first few days, but after telling the staff about it, they fixed it eventually.

Location was great. Close to Rialto bridge. Clean and quiet.
Refrigerator froze my food. I had to thaw my milk in the sink. No change of towels for a 4-night stay. Shower foot towel was obviously dirty and instead of being changed was folded and hung back up from the dirty floor. Pillows are very flat (not comfortable at all). Changing those would go a long way. No breakfast. Kettle with broken lid. A hot plate would have been nice. Peeling wallpaper with stains of dead mosquitos. Lamp cover taped with scotch tape. Overall OK not great — a roof over your head while in Venice. Paid about 130€ per night.

Location great, clean, quiet. Shared bathroom not an issue, never had to wait. Decor has likely not been updated for 30 years, beds are pretty terrible and no blanket provided which I'm sure we could have asked for but a bit strange, just top sheets. Not bad, not great though.

Casa Katy is right downtown Garda and right on the port. This makes it difficult to get your luggage to the hotel but we pulled in very close and dropped the bags then my husband parked while I waited. Parking is very restricted but everything else is great!
Parking...but that was not Casa Katy's fault.

It’s quiet on the back alley. It’s close to everywhere. Management people are nice and warm to help you out.
There were misquotes bothering one’s sleep. No hand soap in the room.

Good area. Very poorly maintained and old building. Room with old furniture, dust, uncomfortable bed, you could hear everything from the corridor. In the bathroom a soap with a dirty dispenser, not even a shower gel. The double price during carnival which was not justified. You couldn't even make yourself a coffee or even provide you with some cups or glasses. On the stairs there was plaster falling off the walls. There would be a lot to say but I'll limit myself to that. 440 euro too much for 3 nights

Wonderful
Amazing location and perfect for the price. It's so convenient to be right in the heart of it all. You can tell it's a family business because it's so homely.
The rooms were huge and the facilities are clean and it's neatly tucked away
