We had a wonderful stay here. Service was exceptional, rooms spotless and breakfast had a selection that would meet any persons taste. Of course the location which is one block from San Marco is so convenient to everything! It was all quite perfect!

The breakfast was very pleasant- we took advantage of it every morning. The coffee was excellent!
The staff was extremely friendly and helped us set up a 615am private water taxi for our early morning train to Milan.
The location couldn’t be beat. Literally steps to St Mark’s square and a short walk to the Rialto bridge. Within minutes we were able to get to nearly every landmark we wanted to see.
Having an elevator was fantastic - not having to haul our luggage up flights of stairs was amazing.
Although the room was very small, it had more than adequate storage. We were able to put all our clothes and belongings into 2 different storage closets with shelves and hang up sections. I was even able to store my empty backpack and suitcase in one of the storage closets, freeing up space in the room.
The windows were soundproofed- couldn’t believe how they were able block out almost all noise.
The room was quite small (as expected for Venice) and there was no fan, so to get air flow you had to open the window. Our room had a view of the canal, which was wonderful, but it was right on a very busy corner and it was very loud outside. Because of this, we were not able to keep a window open at night.
The main issue was the motion sensor light in front of the bathroom door. There was no way to deactivate the light, so anyone using the bathroom in the middle of the night would cause it to go on and light up the entire bedroom. We even tried taking the room key out of the slot by the door before we went to bed so that none of the lights/outlets had power, but that didn’t seem to affect the motion sensor light-it still went on if anyone walked in front of the bathroom door.
I just wish it had a water landing for boats, as we had to walk in the rain with our luggage to the closest water taxi stand that was located on the Grand Canal, past the Doge’s Palace.

This is a great location given that it’s right next to Saint Marks Square. Easy to get to the Baretto as well as walking to really good restaurants.
The only reason I didn’t give it a full smiley is because the bed was a little harder than my likes. I do realize that everyone has different taste. Otherwise, this hotel is fabulous.

The location was perfect! Right next to St. Mark Basilica Buy tickets in advance because they run out very fast. A quick 5 min walk to and from water bus. A lot of little side restaurants with good prices. Supermarket a few feet away. Breakfast is ok. Nothing great but it will get you by until lunch time. The rooms are perfect, clean and have an amazing view. I would definitely come back when I visit again.
