The owner, the staff and services were above and beyond. Top hospitality. Amazing breakfast all fresh baked and the best omelet ever made by the gracious host. 24 hour service best location and views of Rialto and grand Canal.

An exceptional boutique hotel located directly on the Grand Canal! The on sight owner (Mateo) and his staff are phenomenal. Accommodating every request... and offering spot-on recommendations for restaurants, sightseeing, travel arrangements, etc. A small terrace overlooking the Rialto Bridge and Grand Canal is a truly special place for the excellent breakfast included each morning. If possible, arrive via a water taxi directly from Marco Polo airport to the hotel's private dock on the Grand Canal. Mateo was on the dock to welcome us personally, and gave us a brief tour and history of his property. Personal touches like this continued throughout our stay... and made it special, almost like your part of the family.
We booked the Junior Suite with a water level view directly on the Grand Canal. A very large double window can be opened and offers an incredible view of passing gondolas, the Rialto Bridge and the everyday boat traffic. I'd be surprised if there is another hotel room that offers such an intimate view of daily life on the Grand Canal... we literally spent hours here, relaxing and drinking it all in.
The bathroom in the Jr. Suite is a quite small, but functional. For us it was a non-factor, as the very spacious suite and great views more than compensate.

Staying at Al Ponte Antico was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like royalty. Matteo and his team go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcomed and cared for.
The location is perfect—right on the Grand Canal, with stunning views of the Rialto Bridge. The hotel’s terrace is a dream spot to enjoy breakfast or a sunset drink, offering a front-row seat to Venice’s charm.
Our room was impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and full of thoughtful details. The breakfast was one of the highlights—freshly prepared and served with a personal touch that made each morning special.
If you’re looking for a truly Venetian experience with exceptional service, this is the place to stay. We’ll definitely return on our next visit!

This place is beyond your wildest dreams. Obviously, the location is unbeatable, but the real gem of this place is the care of the team. I've stayed in some nice places, but I've never been better welcomed than by Gigi, Matteo and Mini. They really go the extra mile to make this place feel like a dream. Their kindness and attention to detail is the reason why I will keep coming back.

It was like in a movie, everything was perfect. The staff knows you by name (even when they change shifts), the owner takes care of you and even carries your suitcases. He also cooks the best scrambled eggs I've had for years. His wife is charming, caring and friendly. If possible, I would like to go there every year!

I have no words to describe what it was staying here. This simply has to be in the top 3 best stays of my life. The hotel is something right out of a fairy tale. Venice is an incredible place and this hotel was just as charming as the city itself. I almost didn't want to leave the room or the hotel, It was a vacation in itself. Waking up to breakfast was the highlight of our day. Matteo and all of the staff at the hotel treat you like you are the only one there, a very personalized touch. The view is absolutely priceless. I am not sure of many hotels where the Rialto can be seen from breakfast OR your room so close.
All in all, this is really one of those wonders that you have to see to believe and is a must stay for everyone.

The owners and the staffs were so caring, helpful and dedicated. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect in Venice and offers incredible views.

Owned by a couple matteo and barbara.. love their friendliness and the delicious eggs prepared by matteo and the handmade pastries by barbara... the staff knows all the guests by names... only 9 rooms available at this quaint venetian hotel. Location is perfect and 2 mins away from the Rialto bridge. Everything is within walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel. Lovely views from the terrace .
