Disappointing
Nice building, friendly hostess, spacious room.
Before the arrival we received a ton of emails with instructions on how to enter the accomodation. After we reached the place, our suspicion turned out to be correct. In order to cover for the absence of an employee, you get all the instructions for the electronic key etc by emails (which also turned out to be incomplete as well, because there were no instructions for the scala door). Who wants to read a bunch of emails while on a trip? What if someone is a bit aged and can't keep up with all of that? Apart from that, the other suspicion was also well founded: You get everything in email, because nobody there speaks a word in english(!!!). I don't know if there is wi-fi or not, nobody bothered to explain us (unless it was in Italian or sth). Well, there was also a problem with our reservation (I don't blame the accomodation) and initially the lady said we won't be charged extra (another problem when you have to deal with anything and you don't speak Italian). When we returned back to get our luggage, she said that she talked to the owner and we had to pay extra (!). It's not about the money, it's about the amateurism of the whole thing. Last but not least, I'm wondering which family actually liked the location... It was a good 13-15' min walk from the closest station (porta nuova) and 15' from the central plaza. Unless if by "families", someone means 15 y.o. kids or older. Also, the breakfast was just ok, not something special and you had to eat it on a common table with the other guests (there was no other table available). All in all, too expensive for what it was. I'm sorry, but just because you have a nice place and a friendly hostess, you can't mask obvious lackings. You adress to international travellers after all...

Wonderful
Elsa was a fantastic host. She took great care of us. During the booking process I highlighted that we have some dietary restrictions (I am allergic to gluten and my son is lactose intolerant). Not only there was such a variety for breakfast that we didn't need to worry about missing out but she also baked an incredible apple tart to die for! She went above and beyond to make sure my family and I felt at home. The location is also very well maintained, the breakfast room is quirky and gorgeous and our room was perfect for a family of 4 like us. I highly recommend it!

Wonderful
Well maintained, nicely decorated and clean old (in a good sense) place. The mattresses and pillows were comfy. Even thought they served a sweet Italian breakfast which is impossible to eat for non Italian:) the host right away has offered eggs. Also some ham and cheese was offered. The only thing which we actually lacked was vegetables. Overall we were very much satisfied by and the place and would definitely stay again.

Fabulous place, really lovely historic building and beautiful original decoration. Easy reach of Turin centre on foot for sightseeing, and station a short walk away. We found a lovely local restaurant for dinner only a few minutes walk away.
Everything was really perfect apart from a little mix up. We added an extra guest at the last minute and didnt realise they had assigned us an additional room. So we ended up using a sofa bed for the 3rd guest when actually there was a bed made up in a different room. It was absolutely fine and they were really apologetic. The only feedback I would give it to give clear instructions to guests before arrival regarding rooms (maybe have room numbers?) as it is self check in so there was no one there to tell us about the extra room on arrival.

I had the attic room that was way more room than I needed but was great. There was 3 beds in 3 different rooms. The bathroom was the biggest bath out of any of the places that I stayed at while staying in Italy for a month. I believe there is a community bath in a partial space of the hotel for a couple rooms but they are what I believe to be for those rooms only. I would ask about that if concerned. Other than that I would ask for the attic room. Its the size of an entire apartment and 3 couples would be comfortable up there or a family.
Nothing it was great but if you are used to staying at a hotel you probably want to go that route.

Disappointing
Good location. Clean, well presented apartment.
I'm surprised that I haven't seen it mentioned in previous comments but the timber flooring in the lower level bedrooms was the noisiest I have ever walked on. It was beyond an annoyance, I couldn't walk around the room at night it was that loud. It needs to be fixed.

The location is amazing. It was very interesting experience to stay in Italian palazzo. Very friendly staff, very good breakfast
I could hear all other hotel guest if they were talking (no sound isolation). In Order to get inside the building i have received the link for remote open street door and apartment door, sometimes it didnt work and I have to waited ~10 mins
