The location and the breakfast menu
Do not reserve a room on the top floor. It has an angle ceiling and you will bump your head every time you walk across the room. Also, the street noise is horrible in this hotel. The noise goes on until all hours of night, especially on the weekend and sirens constantly And because they won’t give me air conditioning at 1 October we couldn’t shut our windows without suffocating therefore we listen to the noise all night. Also, you have to park four blocks away from the hotel. This hotel is very inconvenient to deal with.

Very clean, beautiful and comfortable room and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Though it was convenient to be close to the main square, it was loud during the day because it's on a fairly main road.

The most friendly staff and she has provided us with a warm hospitality after we arrived. The breakfast had a rich variety for selection. And it's very easy to walk around the majority of attractions.. The parking lots are within 10 minutes. You could unload the baggage by the hotel after the corner of the main street.
I wish I could turn the temperature of the air conditioning to above 22C. Once I switched to 21.5C then I could not turn it to higher temperature. Eventually, I had to switched off the air conditioning in the room.

The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable and quiet. The decor and furnishings were very nicely done and in keeping with the hotel theme. Breakfast was very nice with fresh fruits, coffees, juices, toasts and breads plus scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. There was also yogurts of various types and some lovely croissants.
Because you had to remove your key each time you left the room, it took a while for the room to cool down upon our return and the lowest temp setting was 20. This didn't allow the room to get as cool as we prefer when sleeping. Also only a sheet is provided for a cover on the bed which is a little strange for us but there was a duvet insert in the closet which we utilized. Nothing major, just a sleeping preference.

We loved everything!!! We only stayed one night bc of our travel plans but I could have stayed many nights. I loved the location, I loved the breakfast, the rooms were amazing, the staff always willing to help with any question and I had many from catching the bus, to sightseeing and tours. We got in early so they held our luggage. Once we learned our way around Trieste we never wanted to leave. Hotel Victoria was icing in the cannoli!!!
Cannot think of anything we did not like about the hotel. If you want to be close to the ports, this isn't the closest hotel but we did not mind it and would stay here again.

Hotel was fine. Easy to find. I booked a small single but it had a desk, TV, safe and a mini bar (later in the closet). Functional place. Would have liked the little bar to be open at night but it wasn’t when I was there. Only had cappuccino one morning but breakfast looked decent from what I could see. Very nice, helpful staff.
The location is a bit of a walk uphill from the water, in an area that appeared more residential on side streets, functional shops and restaurants on the main one. Good COOP grocery nearby, as well as a couple of others, and a nice fish store with take out, but since I was in a small room, only availed myself of yogurt and juice. No coffee maker in the room, which I would have liked. Once I got the lay of the land, I enjoyed the walk to the water area, where more clothing and specialty shops were located, as well as restaurants nearer to the water and the small canal.
