Disappointing
The apt was located in a building that did not have any lift and so I was unable to carry out my bags up 2 or 3 floors. I cant remember if this was mentioned while making the booking.

Our hostess was the best! She felt like family and was so amazing and helpful! The breakfast staff was also very friendly. The breakfast was delightful and again…great service! I would stay here again! Great location if you’re on a cruise especially. It’s only a few blocks away from the terminal, grand canal and main square! The room was very large and comfortable.
The stairs to the apartment were a challenge—four flights—be prepared. There is no elevator in this historical building which was once a consulate. You will have to carry your luggage up those stairs.

The property was close to the port and plenty of restaurants and sightseeing within blocks.
There was no elevator and bringing heavy suitcases was a chore to bring up to the room….especially for senior citizens. A/C did not cool sufficiently.

The B and B is in an excellent location, right next to the waterfront and near many restaurants. The staff were very helpful in suggesting restaurants and things to do. The breakfast was excellent. We had a large room with windows that faced the waterfront.
Although the staff suggested that parking is available on the street near the hotel, finding a free parking spot in Trieste is a wishful fantasy. There is an inexpensive public outdoor lot about a block away, which proved a much better bet.
The furnishings of the rooms are a little fussy, with an air of faded elegance; the photos on the website make things seem a little fresher than they are in person

The location was really great.
The place was a little tired and worn out. The bed seemed to be ancient with a grimy headboard, the hallways were dark and you had to fumble your way down to reach a light switch, the place smelled and the floors were extremely creaky. To reach the property you must climb 69 steps as here is no lift.

We had a room with a view to the see - very nice
The room door was not closing well and it was not isolating any noise. You could hear everything inside and outside our room (La Lanterna)
The shower gel dispenser was empty during our stay of two days.

The hostess was very accomodating and helpful. Breakfast was complete and very elegantly portrayed. The shower was nice with lots of pressure and the room even had Q-tips and kleenex. The air conditioning was not in use, so we had to keep the window open. If you have a lot of luggage, there is no elevator, so you will have to carry it up and down a few flight of stairs. Other than that, it was a very comfortable stay!

Host was great and very welcoming. Provided excellent information on where to go and what to do.Location within town is good
No air conditioning available so windows had to be open for ventilation. There is a youth hostel on ground floor of bldg and noise from it was terrible through 4 am both nights. Police were stationed for crowd control, but not noise control. If you stay here plan on ear plugs all night long even if you close the windows. Additionally this accommodation is on 3rd floor and no lift/elevator so you have to carry your bags up 4 flights of stairs. Value for price - unacceptable. Would not stay there again, nor would the other two couples we were traveling with. Their thoughts were the same as ours. If I were the property owner, I would sell this property and buy something in a different location where there is no youth hostel that spills partying kids into the street all night long. I’m sure other guests will be experiencing the same issues in the future. Sorry but truth needs to be told here.

The best breakfasts of our 10 days in Italy. Rooms beautifully decorated, wonderfully helpful hosts. Overall really enjoyed this accommodation.
These are little gripes rather than complaints.
The original parquet flooring in our room creaked every time you moved.
Access to this property was by telephoning 30 mins before arrival.
Optional online check in, was intrusive and not necessary, as we had to show passports anyway.
Beware there are 5 flights of stairs, plus 4 step in entrance to get to the accommodation in building.
Bora, a warm but very strong wind blew both days we were there.
