Francesco was very friendly and helpful. The apartment is exactly as described. Comfortable, clean and well equipped (including basic necessities like sugar, salt, pepper, tea and coffee, paper towels..) The balcony is definitely a plus, especially for smokers. Great location, 200 m from the main train, bus and metro stations, including supermarkets. Only 10 minutes walk from Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore and 20 minutes from the Colosseum. Highly recommended.

Welcome friends is at a very convenient location, hardly 100 meters from Roma termini train station, metro and taxi stop. So traveling to other parts of Rome and commute to other cities via train station is very convenient.
However it is away from the historic centre and not walkable. So if you wish to visit different historical sites on different days you will need either metro or taxi. Area and building are safe and peaceful despite being in the center of the city.
Apartment is spacious, bright and comfortable. It is an old building with a very small lift but that did not bother us.
However there is no microwave which we missed to pay attention while booking. It’s is not mentioned in the in description either. No coffee machine but an authentic Italian mocha gas top kettle. Basic condiments, Laundary aids present.
About the bathrooms.. we had chosen this facility looking at availability of 2 bathrooms to speed up the family’s “getting ready” process in the mornings but there is one complete bathroom with bidet and bath, the other one is just a toilet with a hand wash. if that is one of your criteria, think.
Francesco is a wonderful host who greeted us at doorstep. He showed us the place, and also told us about available restaurants, pharmacies, supermarkets very nearby and best means of transport around places that we had planned. He also has list of recommended cafes and restaurants which are very accessible and authentic. He called us the next day to make sure em we were ok. Overall a good option.

Nice and friendly host, well-equipped kitchen, large apartment, clean and comfortable rooms, heating and air conditioning, bigger bathroom, location close to metro, bus station and train, shops and restaurants. We can recommend it.
However, the flipside (which we expected, we have been to the location more than once) is that due to the proximity to the train station and many other tourist accommodations, is night noise from the surrounding streets - unfortunately, not just traffic noise.

The property was very convenient to the station which was a plus as we arrived late at night. It was lively and cleaned and well equipped for what we needed.
There was nothing about the property we didn’t like. It was perfect for our first time in Rome.

Mr. Francesco is a fantastic host! He was there to greet us when we arrived with a friendly and welcoming attitude. The apartment is very well maintained, clean and a very convenient location. The host also recommended some good restaurants and touring options. I would definitely highly recommend "Welcome Friends" to all my friends who wanted to visit Rome.

the location of the place is very close to Roma’s main train station (Termini) and the host is very kind and friendly, he advised us and showed us where to go and what to do when my daughter got sick, the place is big compared with other apartments in Italy, it has 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room and two bedrooms, the hot-water never runs out and the heating system is adjusted to make the place warm all day.
The kitchen has all the necessary items like spices, oil, water and washing soap for clothes.
The entrance of the building is secured with a pass code and the neighborhood is safe.
The speed of the WiFi and the TV is not smart
