Location and service was excellent. In such a busy city it was nice to not feel like one more tourist with wonderful treatment by the staff.
It would have been nice to have better surfaces for luggage and toiletries. Since we were two people we found the space for our things was tight.

The hotel is lovely but the 5 star staff is what makes the difference! It use to be a monestary, three nuns still live in a private section of the proprty, and they have mass everyday at 7am. Breakfast is a nice variety and delicious selection. Their premier restaurant dwonstairs is definately a Michelin star experience. The room was originally a dissapointment, but was upgraded from our original selection, so the upgrade did help meet our expectations related to comfort- thanks to the staff. A very special thanks to Maria Elena, Gilbert, Matteo, Carmen and Ima for making our experience a memorable one!!! NOTE TO PROPERTY OWNER: You may want to consider investing in installing split AC units in a greater number of rooms to give travellers from the US the comforts they are typically acustome to back home. Wishing you many blessings and much success!
The original room did not have air conditioning as the air conditioner vs heater option is controlled by the hotel. Because it was approximately 50-60 degrees outside, the heater was as on, so we had no option of even setting the temperature control to fan mode. The staff however was very accomodating in that they offered to provide a fan in our original room, but then eventually upgraded our room to I beleive the only room in the hotel that did have a slpit AC unit- thank God!

I felt like I was on vacation! Beautiful spaces, wonderful staff. Just outside of the main tourist areas which was what we wanted yet walkable to anywhere or a short uber which was easy

The property was beautiful. Even though it was November we ate breakfast in the garden.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. The room was lovely, the staff was fantastic, the breakfast was outstanding and the bar was wonderful. I didn’t eat dinner at the hotel because the staff made wonderful recommendations and made the reservations for us.

Hotel Donna Camilla Savelli is an altogether extraordinary place. A former convent designed in part by the renowned architect Borromini, the hotel offers remarkably comfortable, elegantly appointed rooms in a building of genuine historical significance. Indeed, the gorgeous Borromini dining room, where we enjoyed breakfast, as well as a sumptuous Christmas prix fixe feast, is museum-worthy. We went to midnight mass at the hotel's extraordinary chapel, where we enjoyed a service conducted by a charismatic Portuguese priest and a rather picturesque ancient nun who played the organ. Our room was spacious, the bed was lovely, and the bathroom was elegant. The service at the hotel was first-rate all around. And Trastevere is a fantastic neighborhood full of marvels at every turn, a perfect place to amble far from the crush of downtown Rome.

Loved the hotel and its history. Loved being able to attend morning mass in the chapel. The breakfast was good but not many options at reasonable prices for those of us who do not eat a lot off a budget. $25 euro for a piece of toast and yogurt is outrageous
