Designed by Baroque architect Borromini, the Donna Camilla Savelli is a former monastery in Rome's popular Trastevere area. It offers a garden, elegant and sober rooms, and free WiFi throughout. The property dates back to the 17th-century, and features exposed wooden beams on the ceilings and precious stuccoes. Rooms are air-conditioned and offer an LCD TV with satellite channels. Perfect location! Amazing rooftop and gardens. Breakfast is gorgeous. Interiors classy.
Doesn’t have a bar on the roof so you have to balance ur drinks on a tray up on the roof without spilling while going up stairs. But very small detail just being nit picky

Beautiful property and in a perfect location Trastevere. I love Rome and want to explore but won’t be able to resist staying there the next time I visit!

Loved the property. Being a devout catholic, I loved th church located on the premise. Loved the courtyard area! Room was very comfortable. Overall the hotel was stunning and staff were all so friendly. Location was superb.

Our stay at Donna Camilla Savelli was truly extraordinary, we could not recommend it enough. The renovated Baroque convent is exquisite. The rooms are spacious and comfortable while the views of Rome from the terrace are stunning.

Location and service was excellent. In such a busy city it was nice to not feel like one more tourist with wonderful treatment by the staff.
It would have been nice to have better surfaces for luggage and toiletries. Since we were two people we found the space for our things was tight.

The hotel is lovely but the 5 star staff is what makes the difference! It use to be a monestary, three nuns still live in a private section of the proprty, and they have mass everyday at 7am. Breakfast is a nice variety and delicious selection. Their premier restaurant dwonstairs is definately a Michelin star experience. The room was originally a dissapointment, but was upgraded from our original selection, so the upgrade did help meet our expectations related to comfort- thanks to the staff. A very special thanks to Maria Elena, Gilbert, Matteo, Carmen and Ima for making our experience a memorable one!!! NOTE TO PROPERTY OWNER: You may want to consider investing in installing split AC units in a greater number of rooms to give travellers from the US the comforts they are typically acustome to back home. The original room did not have air conditioning as the air conditioner vs heater option is controlled by the hotel. Because it was approximately 50-60 degrees outside, the heater was as on, so we had no option of even setting the temperature control to fan mode. The staff however was very accomodating in that they offered to provide a fan in our original room, but then eventually upgraded our room to I beleive the only room in the hotel that did have a slpit AC unit- thank God!

Beautiful historic building. Breakfast room was incredible. A calm peaceful oasis right in the heart to Travestere. The most amazing staff.
