We got fantastic welcome from Alessandro upon our arrival. I wish I got similar reception at every hotel or accommodation I was staying at. Alessandro (and all the others I met at the Blue Hostel) were extremely polite, friendly, professional and helpful and I'll definitely pick this place for my stay in Rome.
I feel the cleanliness should have been better. The cutlery didn't seem to be clean & there was opened food left in the fridge. But other than that, everything else was tip top - room itself, bathroom, the view, location.

The staff was amazing. Great communication, early check-in, assisted with luggage and let us borrow their umbrellas. They let us store our bags after checkout so we could further explore. The room was super quiet and the beds were comfortable. I’d recommend and return here the next time that I stay in Rome.
We were not bothered by the 4 flights of stairs but some might be.

The staff was exceptional. It felt like angels were watching over us during our stay. The man who helped us check-in was super communicative, helpful, & carried our millions of bags up the stairs with a smile on his face. He recommended a dinner spot we ended up loving also. I can’t thank him enough for his kindness.
We didn’t realize there are a lot of stairs. Which wasn’t a problem for us, especially since the gentleman carried up & down our luggage. However, it may be an issue for people with handicaps.

Fantastic location steps away from Santa Maria Maggiore right outside front door..; comfortable, beautiful room, v. Quiet, v secure.
No elevator but city code won’t allow it; but had great help w/ luggage.. and the unique, awesome built building, former convent hundreds of years ago, made up for any inconvenience.

The location of this property is ideal with easy access to both transportation and the must-see sights. Termini is a few blocks away and is an easy 5-8 min walk straight up the street. Bus stop outside the front door if you are looking grab public transit. The property is managed by two delightful gentlemen who will make sure your stay is as enjoyable as it can be. While the property does not have a "front desk", the managers are in the building and make themselves available for any questions or assistance if needed. We returned late one night to find that someone had broken their key off in the main door lock at the street level. We were nervous that due to the late hour, we might be stuck but a quick text to the property staff solved the issue as we were buzzed in and profuse apologies were granted to us.
The room was quaint and small but was more than adequate. It is a quiet, comfortable respite after a long day of getting our steps in. The bathroom is spacious with newer, modern fixtures and a large comfortable shower. This cannot be said for several other accommodations we had during our weeks long journey. Bottles of water, a small refrigerator and coffee maker rounded out the amenities of this space which has ample natural light due to the two large doors that opened onto small balcony.
Just know that there are a few flights of stairs between the street and the property. If stairs are a deal breaker, this may not be for you. I swear they got shorter each time we made the climb. If you tend to travel with a lot of luggage, you may want to think about that as well.

The staff at The Blue Hostel are incredibly friendly, efficient, and helpful. They truly made our stay memorable. The room was very quiet at night. No noise at all!
The stairs are a challenge, but there's nothing that can be done about that. And the lovely room and staff made the climb well worth it.

Very convenient location, most things in walking distance. Comfortable bed an sofa bed, we especially loved the shower. The high ceilings and the view onto the church. Very clean and exceptionally friendly host!

The owners were in touch at point of booking, there were friendly and helpful throughout. They arranged our taxi from and to the airport and sent suggestions of sights they thought we may like. They provided a map of Rome highlighting sights, restaurants etc which was very useful. The hotel itself was lovely, in a great location, in walking distance to many sights and not far from the main station for the metro. The hotel was clean, the air conditioning and fridge were life savers in the heat. The room was spacious, we had 3 single beds in the room but lots of space to move around. A nice clean bathroom with a shower. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing hosts, perfect location very close to the train station, underground and a taxi rank. Clean, comfortable beds and well decorated. Would highly recommend.
The guide, Manuele, is recommended by the hosts and he is amazing, we had 2 private tours with him which were brilliant.

Great location, near the grave of Pope Francis. Easy access to Roma Termini. Lots of step to get to the room, so be aware if you have mobility issues, there is no elevator. We were happy for the extra exercise after eating too much pasta. Daily cleaning and service, even on Sunday. The a/c unit worked very well.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed and again it was great. Rooms were clean, bathroom was more than adequate, temperature controls were great, beds were comfortable. Very near the train station and some great restaurants. Take advantage of the guide service they offer - manuele was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide.
