My husband and I liked everything about the Star Hotel Michelangelo in Rome and would definitely recommend it. We are also looking at other Star Hotels. This was the first time booking this hotel brand. It’s a little older but elegant and experience was amazing The breakfast was delicious and have a verity of choices.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like it was beautiful and comfortable.

The location was amazing and room was kept clean. Bar staff was great and drink was well made. Restaurant was specious and clean. Great that we could help ourselves with ice as it was ever so hot.
For a 4-star hotel, we perhaps expected a little more attention to some of the smaller details. We assumed that the drinks and treats from the bar might be included as part of the service, although this was certainly not a major issue for us. We also noticed that the cups in our room were not replenished, but when we asked, the very helpful staff provided them quickly.
One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was the excellent reviews for the breakfast, so unfortunately this was the area where we felt slightly disappointed. The eggs were very greasy and, on one of the mornings, the bacon did not seem as fresh as we would have expected. The selection of fresh fruit was also rather limited considering the time of year.
We were particularly disappointed with the gluten-free breakfast options. There were very few gluten-free bakery items available, which was surprising for a hotel of this standard. We have stayed in quite a few hotels across Italy, including some with a lower star rating, where the gluten-free breakfast selection was considerably better.
Overall, these were relatively small things and the staff were helpful, but given the hotel's 4-star rating and the particularly high ratings for breakfast, we had expected a little more.

Supoortive staff, good location, parking, grocery store is next to hotel. Good breakfast options. More like technical stay to enjoy Rome. Good value for money.
Needs to be renovated, it feels that it is not fresh anymore.
