The location on L’Aventino is most beautiful and peaceful. The staff, particularly Mr. Vicenzo, who was most helpful, professional and courteous.
Some of the fixtures in the rooms may need be updated.

Hotel San Anselmo is a charming villa converted into a boutique hotel. The location is excellent; a 10-minute walk to Metro station and even quicker stroll on the same route to a bus stop to the Vatican City and major tourist areas along its route. Want to walk? Thirty to 40 minutes to every historic site (except perhaps the Spanish Steps. Outstanding local dining within a 15-minute walk (recommendation - Bucatino). Staff is caring and helpful. Special compliments to Vicente behind the desk most mornings. So very knowledgeable and helpful. Sill not convinced... during our stay the president of Iceland was a guest. Spoil yourself and book a stay here.

Modern design and nice interior
The location was on a hill and bit secluded , so pretty uncomfortable to go to the nearest restaurant at night.
The bathroom was not super clean
The breakfast was ok but not very rich
The bed / pillow were not comfortable
The economy room open on a patio , straight on the street - street level which is not comfortable !
The shower were quite small

The property is in the middle of nowhere. You are about 15 minute walk from any restaurant, and about 45 minutes to Trastevere.

The hotel is in a perfect location. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood, but the city centre is just one kilometer away. They also offer good value for money: good breakfast, friendly staff and clean rooms.

We booked last minute as we did 16 days ago. We stayed for one night before our morning flight home, coincidentally it was the last room as before and the same room. It’s great to find a true king size bed, large shower, and the complimentary breakfast had a great assortment. They have a paid parking lot 100 meters away, but we once again parked directly out front.The staff has again been wonderful and engaging, we would definitely stay again.

Rooms were small and crammed. Tiny bathroom. We were two adults and two kids, they had no connected rooms. Heat was controlled by lady in front do need to ask her to heat it up. The decor looks authentic in photos but when you are there it looks fake and tacky, just for show.

My room was spacious. The bed linens were sumptuous, and the heated bath towels added a sense of luxury. I spent time relaxing on the room's balcony, enjoying the serenity of the Aventine neighborhood. Complimentary breakfast was served in a beautiful setting, where fresh juice, coffee, tea, savory, and sweet treats were offered. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. They booked transport to and from the airport, making my arrival and departure stress-free.
