We loved everything about our stay here. Upon arrival, Laura welcomed us as we arrived and showed us around. The room was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. When we asked a question we received prompt assistance. There were baked goods left each night that we ended up looking forward to as we came back to our room at the end of the day. The location was perfect and I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.
If we had to choose one thing, we did notice that sometimes the lights from the police cars would show in the window. But it wasn’t enough to bother me since it didn’t affect my sleep and wasn’t constant.

The guest house was lovely and had everything I needed. It was easy walking distance to attractions and the fantastic restaurants of Trastevere. Laura the host was gorgeous and very helpful.
I was unaware it was on a busy street and the room was on ground level. There was slight evening noise which was fairly well contained by the double glazed windows, however the room was very light with headlights shining on the roof during the night. It needs shutters or a black out blind installed for a better sleep experience. It is also noisy when loud guests come in (both nights 1-2.30am) and bang door and talk loudly in the way to their rooms.

Our stay at Palazzo Baj in Trastevere was truly unforgettable. Nestled in the perfect spot between Rome’s cozy, authentic charm and its vibrant energy, the location offered easy access to all the city’s iconic highlights—including the Colosseum. What made our experience even more special was our host Laura, whose warmth and incredible hospitality made us feel instantly at home. She went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. Palazzo Baj was the ideal place to celebrate our honeymoon—romantic, comfortable, and filled with the magic of Rome.

Excellent Trastevere location. The host was friendly and helpful and the room was beautifully renovated. The snacks provided in the lounge area were delicious.
The bed was a little too firm, but that may be because we’re used to a memory foam mattress.

This little hotel is small and cosy and located in a great area. We could walk all over across the river and to restaurants nearby. It was busy with locals and tourists in the neighborhood. Laura the owner was amazing. She helped us book a taxi for an early trip to the train and also a nice meal nearby for dinner. Our room was smallish
But perfectly fine for one night.
The price was higher than we should have spent for a small room but Rome is pricier than I think. The location is ideal.

Had the pleasure of 2 nights at Palazzo Baj. Laura was immensely helpful and kind with check in. Extremely personal and thorough. Room was Beautiful with lovely design and comfort. The common room had many goodies of high quality, books magazines, and delicious expresso. Off the beaten track of a somewhat popular neighborhood.

Overall a great experience staying at this little gem in Trastevere, which is a bustling local community offering a rich selection of restaurants and markets. The room is well equipped, cozy and clean. I particularly enjoyed the lounge area where the host Laura has arranged cakes, fruits, and coffee to be enjoyed by guests for free. Bus and tram stops are nearby, and the isola on Tiber is a must-visit in its own right.

We loved the different cake offerings each morning.
We appreciated the local restaurant recommeded listing.
Location of the nearest taxi stand was a short 2 minute walk.
The fact that bus number 23 from Vatican City stopped right outside our accommodation, extremely handy when traveling back from the Vatican Museums.
Also easy walk to the Colloseum from this location.

This was our second visit, and we will visit again! The location, the lovely accommodations, the beautifully baked goods with caffe’ and water always available, to the amazing sites and restaurants within very close proximity!
