The location was fabulous!
The air conditioning was very tricky and annoying. For whatever reason, it would automatically shut off and -if you noticed- you'd have to open and close the window to restart it.
Also for solo travelers, get a second key so the air conditioning will be on when you get back. Often times I'd return from a long day in the heat, only to find my room warmer than outside and it would take about 2 hours for it to cool down.

Host was very responsive, immediately upon arrival and even ordered us a taxi for the day we left. Location is AMAZING- walking distance from the colosseum, metro station and great restaurants. Also felt safe walking back from dinner late at night. The room itself was small but perfect for what we needed. Very clean, bed made and towels changed daily.
As others said, walls are quite thin but thankfully our neighbors were not loud- just heard typical coughing, sneezing, brushing teeth/running water. Not unbearable and we were so tired from our daily adventures, we fell asleep on the comfy beds immediately

I really enjoyed my stay! The owner was very kind and welcoming — she explained everything clearly, including how to get around and what to do in the area. The place was clean and had everything I needed. The location is excellent: many major attractions are within walking distance, and there’s a metro station and bus stops nearby.

Fantastic location, 5 minute walk to the metro, with buses and trams also available. Comfortable large bed, nice bathroom and clean room. Host was very friendly upon arrival and gave us some helpful tourist information about Rome. Amenities available and towels changed daily with a room clean which was unexpected as it’s an apartment.
Room is on the cosy side but does have everything you need if you are going to be out and about. It is a large apartment which has been converted into 3 rooms so the walls don’t feel fully soundproof. However we didn’t have any noise complaints during our stay at all.

location was perfect. Close to everything: city center, metro station, Termini station. Good grocery, pizzeria and restaurant nearby. Very silent place. Perfect bathroom.
Almost no place to sit down together and have a tea/coffee in the morning. Perfumed air in the room after everyday cleaning.

Wonderful room in a lovely neighborhood. Location is slightly farther from tourist attractions, making it feel more quiet and local. Close to restaurants, supermarkets, and bars.
Room was perfect - great size, clean, great bathroom facilities.
Coffee station and snacks available were a great bonus and are always appreciated.

The property is located in a pivotal position near metro and bus stations which will take you wherever you like. It is within walking distance from colosseum and Vittorio Emanuele. The hostess was super friendly, room was cleaned everyday!! New towels everyday and new sheets every two days. It was wonderful !!!

Our stay at Merulana Holidays was truly amazing. The location was great and was very easy to get to attractions, with the Manzoni metro stop just around the corner, and bus or tram stops within walking distance, even the Colosseum is a 10-minute walk away. The surroundings are rather quiet, away from the busy city streets, thus we really felt comfortable and safe. Also, it is very close to a wide range of catering facilities for different needs.
We arrived in Rome very early, happily it was easy to arrange the meeting with the host and a wonderful thing for us is that she easily agreed to keep our belongings until the room is ready. She was very nice and helpful, assisted to all our inquiries, advised us on many great places to visit and explained how to reach the desired points easily. She was easy to contact at any time if needed.
The room itself is very cosy, clean, newly renovated and bright. The bed is very big and comfortable, towels were changed daily, good quality hairdryer and other cleaning essentials were provided. Breakfast was not included, but coffee, tea and sweet snacks were available for free of charge. That was certainly enough to start of a day. The general rate of the institution is reasonably high. We felt great, safe and comfortable. The host awarded us with pleasant and lovely surprises. Our highest recommendations - we will definitely stay here next time if it is avalable!!! Thank you so much.
