The location was good. Staff was kind. Room was spacious. Simple and price/performance hotel.
Lifts are so slow and a bit scary because of shaking. Beds were small.

The hotel should make effort to equip rooms with telephone. It can help in emergency and short enquiries since the lifts are very slow.

Very clear and very good location. The metro station and the bus stop were very close to the hotel. Next to the hotel there is also a super market. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
I would like more variety at breakfast.

We've been to a Meininger in Copenhagen last year in December and it was great. So we went with the good experience and when booking for Rome's visit we kind of decided to stay with Meininger as well. Easy access from the main train station to the location, clearly recognisable from the photo online. Great location for further exploration of the City. Clean, Great value for money, great breakfast.
We were on the 5th floor yet it seemed the windows were without sound proof - you could almost hear people on the street even though the windows were shut. It was not annoying or anything like that, but more in terms of when it gets colder, does the cold get in as much as the sound does?

Low value for your money. Everything will cost you extra. The room cost lige a room in a regular hotel but in reality this place is like a hostel for teenagers but even they shouldn't stay there because it is far from the center of the city Want to have cold water? Get it from the common kitchen sink which is not cold and always full with filfthy dishes. Want coffee? It will cost you extra Want to sit and drink the coffee you just paid for? The table in the common area are always dirty

Disappointing
Fantastic, friendly and polite front desk staff. If it weren't for them, the stay would have been miserable. The location is also great. The movie atmosphere of the hotel is quite ok but you lose the atmosphere of Italy and Rome with this.
Very much room for improvement. Especially when it comes to noise. Twice I asked for a change of room because there were strange sounds coming from the air conditioning in ours. Once I was told that it was evening and nothing could be done about it, but in fact the sound coming from the exhaust is not normal. I was told to come back the next day. The next day the manager (I think) said that the noise is "white noise" and in general it is normal because we are in the city. Although I was referring to something completely different. In the air conditioning, once in a while a squeaky fan spontaneously fired up! And it worked like this for 10-15-20 minutes. At night, too! The lady told me to buy earplugs. :)) I was offered to come (on the last day) at 11:00 a.m. with my luggage, leave it there and at 3:00 p.m. I would get a new room for one night. Superb option, especially when you have a day filled with different plans. I told them to let go of such a solution.
In the corridor you can hear EVERYTHING. Every conversation, every person passing by. My whole family confirms this. By the same token, people can hear what you are doing in the room, just saying. ;)
In addition, the hotel is greedy and has packed extra rooms on the ground floor. The stench of sewage and smells from the patio were very unpleasant. It stank of poop throughout the stay. Not to mention that in order to get to the room you had to walk outside in front of two escape doors where there were no ordinary handles but you had to push a big, red "button" which was terribly loud. The hotel staff was already going back and forth from 6 am and slamming those doors like mad man. It was impossible to sleep.
We had three rooms, and we were separated by 5 floors. Although I know it could have been done differently.
You have to pay extra for everything, just like in a cheap hostel.
