The property was unique in the sense that it looks like the original building was adapted for a hotel. The dining area was nice, a musician was playing the evening we arrived setting a very pleasant mood.
The scrambled eggs from the breakfast buffet were cold. The shower floor was extremely slippery and the door to the shower opens toward the inside making it difficult to reach a person who falls or becomes unresponsive. Also, I noticed that the floor wasn’t cleaned from one day to the next day of our stay.

The lobby
Everything else. Outdated rooms and bathrooms. Very low value for the money. Never again. This is not a 4 star hotel. They gave me parter room which was terrible dark like a dungeon. I requested different room they claimed they don't have any other standard room only suites, of course. So I had to pay even more for a terrible dated suite. Dark and dated rooms. Bathroom in terrible condition.

The hotel stuff at the reception was amazing and the hotel was really great. Clean sheets every two days, clean towels each day. Overall clean hotel, breakfast is good. Location is 20-25minutes away by foot from coloseum and other monuments.

Friendly and helpful front desk, bar, kitchen staff and servers.
Loved the pianist!
Spa closed too early. I saw the closing time was 9pm. I went down at 6:00pm, and I was told it was closed. This was very disappointing because I booked the hotel to have access to these services. I really needed it too after walking 7 miles around Rome that day.

Has a pool which is great on hot Roman days, room was very comfortable and reasonably well appointed
They had a wierd rule that no food or beverages including wine are not to be brought onto or consumed on the premesis aparently due to hygine issues - I must say I wasn't about to consume anything I considered unhygienic! consequently there was not even a glass to drink from in the room, only a disposable cup. A bit shabby!
