Very good location. Walking distance to attractions and Termini. Loved the coffee machine in breakfast room. You can make your self all kinds of coffee.
Room not sound proof. Our next door neighbor were fighting all night one of the nights. But management took appropriate actions. Told them about it next morning and they were kicked out of hotel. Breakfast was average.

The staff assisted me when I have trouble with the credit card payment. He was very helpful and patient. Breakfast was adequate. Rooms was clean.
The bed is too soft, could be improved.

Location was good. The staff were friendly and helpful and helped answer any questions. Hotel was spotless and room was cleaned every day. Buffet breakfast suited me. If I ever make it back to Rome I would consider using Contilia again. Dave.
Only downside for me. Was room was with a street view but when I booked it said room would have internal courtyard view.
City tax was added to the bill and not included which I didn't expect.

Hotel was clean, presentable and consistent with what had been displayed on the website. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic but fresh and tasty. Very good all around experience of the hotel.

The location meant a lot of walking up hill back to the hotel but its Rome so what can you expect!

The location was perfect. 5 min walk away from the metro station was super convenient and there were restaurants and little markets all within walking distance. One of the front desk staff, Giorgia, was outstanding. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and to help with our unfortunate situation of a lost luggage. The one and only bright spot of Hotel Cortilia was her.
While I can appreciate that the building is older, it should be updated to accommodate the guests. The ceiling was peeling, the shower door fell off while my friend was in the shower, there was a construction crew right outside the window that started working at 6am, the breakfast was dull and subpar, the furniture was old and worn. The beds were some of the worst Ive ever slept in; rock hard, and the pillows were basically non existent. The ac did not work, the towels were paper thin, and the water pressure wasnt even strong enough to flush the toilet.
While all this Can eventually be overlooked the worst part, the reason we will never return to this hotel, is the staff. Nicola in particular was both unhelpful and condescending. He made us feel taken advantage of, unwelcome, and over all disgusted with the stay. Knowing we had extenuating circumstances, he insisted on arguing with us and making us pay for a service that was rendered incorrectly all while essentially laughing in our faces. Never again will we return.
