This is easily the best hotel I've stayed at during my two-week holiday in Italy. The staff are awesome! Shoutout to Francisco and Justin for making check-in easy and fun. The lady in charge of breakfast was great, too. I think one of the best things about this hotel is the location--you are within walking distance to a lot of tourist sites, but far enough away that it is quiet, traffic isn't bad, and you don't feel like you're in a tourist area. I highly recommend staying here.

The continental breakfast was very good. Nice service, nice display, large variety and good food. The staff was helpful. Facility was clean. Less than one mile from coliseum.

I don’t look forward for another stay there
Although the room is overpriced it lacks basic items. The telephone was not working. They exchanged it only at my departure time. There was no kettle, I had to insist to have one. The AC unit was not manageable. I was instructed to open window when I need to shut the AC, there was no choice, either very hot or freezing cold, although they insist that the controller is working it was not. The entrance and the whole energy was gloomy. The neighborhood is also stagnant with no sign of life almost all day. The breakfast was ok but I found 2 pieces of hard shells in the flakes but I felt there was no sign of apology, they only said it was not their mistake. In summary, I don’t look forward for another stay there.

The hotel is an absolute gem in a quiet residential area of Rome. The rooms are just as described and pictured. The front desk, bellhop and kitchen staff were all incredibly helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic with meat/cheese options, pastries, hard boiled eggs, various breads, water, coffee, soda - all fantastic. Could sit in the dining area or back patio (beautiful setting). On days we left before breakfast, they even prepared a to-go bag for us! Special thanks to Justin who helped us daily with his kind words, willingness to help, and making sure we are comfortable. Front desk called taxis for us and were usually only a 3min wait to get one. They even arranged and ensured we had taxi for going back to airport. My wife and I absolutely loved our stay and would not hesitate to stay again.
My only “negative” comment is that the tub is very high, so stepping over after a shower can be challenging for some - not sure if other rooms have walk in showers. Ours was tub/shower combination

Wonderful
The Aventine is a wonderful place to say to see Rome - quiet, calm, away from the hurly burly with amazing views across the city, and yet it is very close not only to the sights/sites but also Trastevere/Testaccio. The hotel is very smart and neat and the welcome at reception was exemplary. Our room was not part of the main building but it was very smart, very clean and very well equipped. It's a great place to stay.

Nice breakfast buffet, very friendly welcome, and very comfortable beds.
Better wardrobe space. Big desk in the room. That was not useful. Some hooks on the wall to hang coats and hooks in bathroom also.

Great location: beautiful houses and churches, next to the center yet faraway from the crowds. Great staff.
I had the triple room: although it is big and nice, it quite dark as it's on the ground floor, the air conditioning was making a lot of noise, there are stains of humidity on the roof and since it's next to the breakfast room it quite noisy in the morning.
