A beautiful street in Rome, this apartment feels like a slice of serenity tucked away from the bustle of the city. The windows allow sunlight to stream in, illuminating the decor for the minimalist decorator. Strolling through the historic streets in the afternoon before stopping for an espresso at noon. There are a lot of restaurants

Brilliant location for Vatican and metro to rest of Rome. Lots of restaurants and bar near by and very little outside noise. Easy to check in.

Very spacious apartment in a great location. The host was very accommodating in dealing with a last minute problem. A YouTube video about checking in was extremely useful.
This is not a review of Home House Mascherino, San Pietro which proved to be unavailable at the last minute. This review is about apartment number 4 at Vicolo Domizio 4 which was offered as a substitute at the same price. It was a considerable upgrade and therefore a generous solution but further from our destination than the Mascherino property which was chosen because of its proximity.

i got a WhatsApp message from the owner (the day before my trip) stating that the apartment I booked wasn't available. put me up in another apartment that did NOT have a crib for me baby, AC wasn't working, and horribly unspecific with how to get the keys. he made me pay in cash, saying my original booking would get refunded. It did not, now I'm dealing with a fraud case as booking.com isn't responding to me to get a refund. i'm sure the place is great, but I never got to even see it. really disappointed.

I liked the following: 1. Location: The location was EXCELLENT! It was on a road that was blocked off from traffic but it was right at the heart with the Vatican city / St. Peter's Cathedral just around the corner. 2. Size: There were three of us. At first, on the video, it looked tiny. It was ok in size once we got in. 3. Balcony: The balcony at the front of the house was very useful for anyone who smoked cigarettes. It gave fresh air at night and in the day time, when it was sunny and warm, it provided the space to unwind for some fresh air and light. 4. Host: The host was polite and informative. The lady who helped us on Whatsapp was very responsive and answered all our questions. 5. Video instructions to get to the house and how to get into the house : Effective Youtube.com video instructions helped a lot. It was very easy to get into the house with the Youtube video instructions. 6. Generosity in the drinks: The host had a few bottles of liquor and wines that were available. Although we are not such big drinkers, it was nice of him to offer for us to drink for free.
