We are budget conscious, normal people, who saved up funds to travel to Rome. And this hotel was a gem! The rate per night was comparable to other hotels in the area and once we booked we were dotted upon. It was so nice. The hotel staff really helped make our trip special.
We liked many aspects of this hotel -the location to the Colosseum was excellent and it was easy and safe to walk to most other sites. Most sites we wished to see were within a 10- 30min walk.
The breakfast was beyond expectations, so much variety of both food and drinks. The staff at breakfast was always friendly and attentive to our needs, a great way to start our day.
Our room was spacious, clean, bright (with many levels of lightening), the bathroom was large with double sinks, waterfall shower head and separate toilet room. If we wished to keep the window open, it was quite loud at night b/c of cars and people on the streets, but that is to be expected when staying in a tourist area.
The staff made sure our stay was pleasant -checking in on us daily to see if we needed anything. Pamela went above and beyond in this, making us feel very valued. The front desk always greeted us with a smile and happy to answer any questions we had and the doormen were there to help us in and out of the hotel. The staff seemed genuinely happy to be working there.
There was a bar across the street, that was open 24hr and sometimes in the early morning you could hear shouting if our window was open.

Location was perfect for our needs. Close to main train terminal to walk, or take one stop on metro. Colosseum within walking distance. Very nice breakfast and staff, and great rooms!

very friendly and professional staff, the clean facilities, the good breakfast, and the warm welcome especially from the doorman.
there were two significant issues that impacted our sleep and overall comfort during our stay. First, there was ongoing construction nearby, and second, our room lacked a functioning air conditioner. With no AC, we were forced to open the windows, which then let in extreme noise from the street throughout the night.

Remarkably attentive and helpful front desk staff. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent. Near train station. Easy walking to coliseum area. Public transportation is close. Stylish. Great location. Nice lobby bar.

The hotel is amazing! I travel all over Europe and it was one of the best! Great location just 500 meters from Colosseum, friendly stuff with a sense of caring for the client and plenty of options to the well arranged breakfast! Congratulations to all that make this hotel so unique!

We were completly satisfied with each and every aspect of our stay. In particular, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is perfect - close to Roma termini on one hand, to all major sites of the old city on the other, and in the wonderful Monti area.

FH55 was a great place to stay! We loved the location and the surrounding neighborhood, and our room and amenities were wonderful. We paid for continental breakfast for one of our earlier mornings, and the selection and quality was good for the price.
We had such a long couple travel days and ended up getting to the hotel at 9am the day of our check-in. We were told we couldn't check-in until 2pm (pretty standard), so we wandered around the neighborhood to kill time. When we got back to the hotel around 2pm, they told us our room still wasn't ready. I guess my feedback would be to possibly prioritize the cleaning of rooms you're going to turn over, especially if the guest arrives so early in the morning. On an unrelated note, we used the gym a few times during our stay, and it was great to have a place to go for yoga, cardio, weights, etc. My only feedback here would be to include sanitary/disinfectant wipes, as we couldn't find anything to clean/wipe down what we used.

Each staff person we interacted with was helpful, friendly and very accommodating. Room was spacious and comfortable. Restaurant was closed for a private event so we ordered food from the bar, which was delicious. The set up to make tea was a fun bonus. It was a short stay before an early flight, but it was very enjoyable!
We wish the restaurant would've been open to try.
