When I booked a room at Dom
When I booked a room at Dom Hotel in Rome through Booking.com, I chose to pay later at the property. However, the full amount was withdrawn two days before my arrival, causing me a lot of trouble. When I wanted to change the booking dates, the hotel refused. When I asked them to waive part of the cancellation penalty and refund the remaining amount, they refused as well, since they already had the full amount. I had personal circumstances related to my visa for visiting Italy that prevented me from attending. I informed them about my situation, but they did not cooperate and refused to amend the dates or deduct the penalty to return the rest of the amount. They decided to keep €2,265. Their behavior was not classy at all and does not reflect the standards of a five-star hotel. Even roadside motels have better and more refined attitude than them.

Great design, large spaces and spans, high standard service and nice places to have a drink such as the restaurant or the bar. Great location in walking distance to all important sites. Big and highly decorated rooms.

Cosy, centrally located hotel with excellent staff. Was a combination of rustic, quirky and modern. Loved that the Junior Suite had a second bathroom. Beautiful decoration on the ceiling.
It was off season so the Terrace Restaurant was closed. The bar was empty too. There is a government building opposite so be prepared to see the military standing outside.

On arrival staff were exceptionally friendly and hotel had a lovely welcoming atmosphere Dinner in the restaurant an absolute pleasure…the owner was a delightful lady who was extremely friendly and informative and the food, well it was delicious!!!

Good breakfast. Location central and easy access to many points of interest. Rooms cleaned and made up to a high standard, with nightly turn down service. Staff friendly and welcoming.
Room lighting did not consider female requirements for make up etc. Carpet design dowdy. Restaurant meal on arrival uninspiring and a disappointment. No coffee making facility in rooms.

Our experience at the Dom hotel was nothing short from amazing. The staff was very friendly and hospitable, they even gave us a free upgrade! The bell boy was very helpful and the service was very fast. The breakfast was delicious, we got the scrambled eggs and the salmon sandwich along with some complementary pastries from the chef. The room (two-floor loft) was amazing, very spacious, and well curated. The only downside, we would say, would be the entrance of the hotel was facing a governmental building of some sort, which made entering via car a bit challenging. Otherwise everything was good and would definitely go there again.
