Cross Condotti may be small but it is a beautiful and comfortable hotel. The location cannot be better. It is close to Spanish steps and a lot of great restaurants. The rooms are comfy and roomy. The bathrooms are beautiful.

The staff at Crossing Condotti are absolutely wonderful - they were kind, flexible and stayed late when our arrival was delayed to make sure we got settled! The accomodation is spacious (including the bathroom) and the fridge was stocked with complimentary drinks. Location is perfect - just steps away from the Spanish Steps.
Despite the wonderful staff and location, we were really disappointed with our stay. The room is SO beautiful, but as soon as we walked in we could smell a strong mouldy/mustiness. It wasnt till we showered in the Turkish shower that we worked out why - there is no ventilation at all and no fan, so the ceiling paint in the shower and outside it (which is in the bedroom) is peeling from the moisture and created an overall mouldy/musty smell throughout the apartment. There were also no lights in the shower (which has all black tiles) aside from some small green/red downlights, so it was difficult to shower at night in the dark. Aside from the smell, our stay was incredibly noisey. This may be because we were on the ground floor - but we were woken at 3-4am in the morning by other guests checking in, talking in the stairwell and dragging their luggage up the stairs and then again repeatedly from 6am. Obviously the staff cant control the noise of other guests and its an old building in the historic centre, but there seemed to be little soundproofing done and it was disappointing to spend so much money and not be able to sleep.

This was our second stay at this property and it was absolutely perfect on both occasions. Staff were polite, professional, helpful and extremely professional. Their amenities bottled water, juice, coffee, pastries, muffins, teas, coffee all complimentary! Location is the best in rome for sightseeing, food, entertainment, shopping ect ect. They even organised a free upgrade and a bottle of lovely red wine on arrival!!!This is the best accomodation and we cannot wait to return a third time!!!!

Location near the Spanish Steps is ideal for shopping and eating (both cafe and fine dining). Major historic sites (forum, Vatican etc) are a taxi ride while other well-known places (Trevi, Piazza del Popolo e.g.) are an easy walk. The property is small but comfortable. Bathrooms are a good size and there is storage for the bedroom. The room is spotless and serviced daily. Day manager Gerald was most obliging and a source of useful information.
Natural lighting was limited but of no consequence for travellers out sightseeing during the day. - there was plenty of artificial light.

Charming place! A very clean and comfortable hotel. The proprietor was extremely gracious and accommodating. He stayed late to check us in and gave great recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants. This was a very authentic hotel seeming more like a comfortable, well appointed guest room than a typical hotel room.

You could not ask for a more comfortable and well located hotel in Rome. It was our second stay at Crossing Condotti and we loved it just as much as last time. Everything is a short stroll from the hotel. The Spanish Steps, The Trevi Fountain, high end fashion shops, abundant restaurant choices. Including Pastificio which is a wonderful low cost take away Pasta shop around the corner. At 4 Euro 50 per serve (there is one Veg and One Meat option) it's fantastic for hangry "bottomless pit" teens. Crossing Condotti's Manager GERALD (said with a French Accent because he's French and I'm a Luddite who can't find the key for the dot on top) was a stand out. He is so helpful and kind. My (slightly demanding) son asked if the room had a "milk frother" to which the answer was, "Regrettably No." Within 30 minutes one magically appeared in our room. Truly Superb Service!
