BOMA was the best hotel we stayed in during our Italy trip. We were greeted by the most kind and gorgeous woman, Eleonora, who went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed (an extra bed in our room, dinner reservations, the address for a laundromat, even ice for my husbands sore knee). She was just a breath of fresh air. There is an amazing restaurant at the hotel that I cannot recommend enough. It is packed full of locals at night so you feel like youve stumbled across a hidden gem. Liliana looked after us both times we dined and she was brilliant. I havent seen anyone work so hard in the service industry for a long time. She had a special dish made for our very hungry and tired children, nothing was too much for her including bringing you a glass of Prosecco to enjoy in the garden or organising water for the kids while they swam in the pool.
Dont let the location put you off. Very quick drive to the metro and leaving the bustle of Rome behind everyday made our trip so much more relaxing than our previous stays in the city centre. We loved the location and will come again.

We where here five years ago and we had a great experience. If you want to visit Rome by car, and not want to be in the crowdy city, then this is a recommendation. Within 10 minutes you're at the nearest metro station, part your car for 2 euro a day and take the metro into Rome, Perfect. But five years ago the country house had more magic. We stayed at the pool, we had dinner in the restaurant and when we indented to visit Rome, this was our first spot to book. But after being here for the second time, it was also our last time. It felt that the magic was gone. The pool is closed after 12 in the weekends, there where no beds anymore at the poolside and the rooms become outdated. If you want to stay in the restaurant, which serves great food, be aware that they a re closed on Sunday and Monday. Our stay was from Saturday till Tuesday which pretty much means we could just use the restaurant for one time. And again, the time we spent in the restaurant was great, good food, fantastic wine. But we where surprised by the fact that they were closed on the other evenings. When I tried to make a friendly remark by check out on this she just said that I've booked the wrong days. That's not the answer you want to hear at that moment.
As shared above, we came here with an expectation from a great stay five years ago. In my comment I mentioned it was the magic. And that was overall what we've missed in our current stay. Is it a bad place, no. Is the food not good, no. But it was all defined in small things. I mentioned the opening hours for the restaurant. So, if you consider to have dinner, be aware that the restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday. In our case, but if you read to the notes in the hotel, they don't commit on opening hours so it felt it will be decided almost by day. There where no bed's at the pool and the pool is closed in the afternoons in the weekends. After 12 you're not allowed to use the pool. And lastly the magic was gone by the friendliness of the staff. You have to ask for a coffee during breakfast, even though they just chat with each other, after two morning asking the same cappuccino you would expect on the third day that we she say's good morning she would ask, "a cappuccino?"... And if you have checked out and try to walk out of the door with your hands full the staff would ask to open the door for you. Perhaps stupid things which you don't mention when there is no other comment. And I know, what I describe as our magic, this is really personal. But we had a big expectation based on our first experience five years ago and the second time came not even close to our first experience five years ago.

Everythingwe just wished we had a few more days to stay. Loved all of the cool memorabilia in the hotel center, the grounds were impeccable, the food was amazing. The staff was so warm and welcoming. Thank you!
