Staff were very friendly, respectful, and helpful. Gabriel was especially accommodating, offering great transport advice and local recommendations. Overall, it was a pleasant stay — conveniently located near several transport links, about an hour from central Rome by public transport or 40 minutes by taxi.

The shower is a tight fit, but that couldn’t be helped because there just isn’t more space in the building.

B&B La Maison de Jo was a simple, low-key experience that I’d recommend for those seeking a non-touristy, comfortable stay.
**Location:** The B&B is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, which I really appreciated. It’s still conveniently close to tram and bus stops, making it easy to get around the city. The best part? It's also near a train station that takes you directly to and from the airport, which is incredibly convenient for travelers.
**Breakfast:** Every morning, a lovely Italian café provided a delicious breakfast with pastries and coffee. A perfect way to start the day, and don’t miss out on the café experience—it’s a nice touch to the overall experience. If you prefer, a simple breakfast is provided in the room, though I found it adequate for a light start to the day.
**The Room:** The room itself was basic, but comfortable enough for a good night’s sleep. It was an excellent value for the price, especially for those who aren’t looking to break the bank but still want a pleasant stay. For me, the only downside was the bathroom situation. Although I knew the bathroom was outside the room beforehand, it wasn’t my favorite. You need a key every time you want to access it, which meant running into other guests in the hall (once in my pajamas). The bathroom is located near the kitchen, where the occasional awkward moments arose.
**Other Details:** The elevator is tiny, but it works fine—just something to be aware of if you have a lot of luggage. Also, you’ll get quite a few keys for your stay, but once you’ve figured it out, it’s no big deal.
**The Hosts:** The hosts were fantastic—very communicative, helpful, and informative. They provided great recommendations for trams, restaurants, and even airport transportation. Their effort to make guests feel at home was clear, and I appreciated the personal touches.
As mentioned above, the separate bathroom — which I knew about before booking, so can't really complain.

Very cozy place to stay. We felt very welcome there and the host was very helpful and we got quick answers to all of our questions through Whatsapp.
The croissant and cappuccino downstairs at the cafe in the morning were perfect. And as an extra, the host had yogurt and sandwich material ready for us in the fridge. We could also make good coffee in the apartment.

The B&B is in very convenient location and Marco was extremely helpful, providing lots of local information. The breakfast was good and the local café was exceptional.
The shower needs some improvement as the drain doesn't flow well enough.

Everyone was welcoming. The room was lovely and had a balcony that was ever pleasant. Breakfast was available daily and there was a refrigerator for us to use. We had a thorough orientation about the keys and the property. If we had a question it was answered promptly. Look forward to staying again.

Everything went well. Staff was very attentive. Brought white towels with me. Did random wipes on bedside table, desk, and floor. Table and desk were clean. Floor had normal dirt, just like my own home. In bathroom, sink, toilet seat, shower floor were clean. Bathroom floor had normal dirt like my own home. Disposable slippers were provided if you do not want to walk on floor.
I was in room 1 and could not hear any street noise.
I sleep on my back and bed was very comfortable.
I stayed in month of May. Heater kept room warm. Heater made normal amount of noise. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure for a 10 minute shower.
Breakfast was yogurt, sliced meat, sliced cheese, toast, coffee. Downstairs was coffee and fresh croissants. In my room, a basket of packaged croissants and cookies was provided.
Walls were thin so I could hear voices coming from next room, but could not hear exactly what they were saying.

Marco has been the best host! Upon arrival there was tiny cakes and a bottle of sparkling wine because I mentioned that it was my birthday. He also helped me with reservations for dinner that night and sent a lot of other restaurants that we visited throughout our stay. All were amazing! :)

I had the pleasure of staying at this charming B&B, and it truly exceeded expectations. The place exuded warmth and cleanliness, offering everything one could need for a comfortable stay. While the room wasn't overly spacious, it provided ample room for two people, and the balcony added a delightful touch.
One minor inconvenience was the private bathroom located outside the bedroom, requiring us to use a key each time we accessed it. However, this was a known aspect prior to booking and didn't pose a significant issue. The location, on the other hand, was superb, with easy access to both the city center and the Vatican. The nearby bus and tram station, just a three-minute walk away, made exploring the city hassle-free.
Breakfast at the downstairs cafe was delightful, complemented by an abundance of snacks available in the room. The daily cleaning service maintained impeccable standards, ensuring a pristine environment throughout our stay.
Our experience was further enhanced by the exceptional hospitality of the staff. Lucrezia, the welcoming host, greeted us with warmth and provided invaluable assistance, including recommendations and help with tram tickets. Marco, the owner, also left a lasting impression with his attentive care, offering personalized recommendations for dining and sightseeing.
Overall, our time at this B&B was truly memorable, and we would eagerly return and recommend it to others. Many thanks for a wonderful stay; it was an absolute pleasure.
