Absolutely stunning hotel with stunning remodeling, big bright, comfy, clean room and amazing bathroom. Right across the street from the beach. Gardens are spectacular. The only problem that was very surprising was that the staff was all very spotty and not helpful at all. Very surprising and unusual for Italy.
The hotel is really gorgeous and spectacular and a steal of a price. I still can’t believe how inexpensive it is for what you get. Also, the breakfast buffet was so good. It was just really weird that the staff didn’t tell us about it and we had to find it.
Staff seemed very stuck up and not helpful.

The grandness on arrival and the reception and dining areas were impressive and the outside areas including pool area were immaculate.
The grandness on arrival and the reception and dining areas were impressive but once in the corridors and bedroom they are looking tired. Every night between 11pm - 4.O0 am music is playing loudly near hotel so disturbed sleep even with window closed. We also noticed the waiting service is very slow and they try to avoid eye contact and many times we had to ask to be served not as attentive as you would expect in a grand hotel.

Historical building, felt like I was in a palace, staff was very friendly
Amenities could have been better, especially in the bathroom (cheap toiletries)

The hotel facility is magnificent and the staff are friendly and helpful. Pool and surrounds are great. The hotel is well located, right next to the beach and a sort walk to restaurants and bars. Breakfast offering was good.
Evening dress regulations (particularly long trousers for men) are not really suitable during summer months in a beachside hotel. We consequently spent dollars at external bars. WiFi was a bit hit and miss in the room.

The staff were efficient, competent and friendly. We enjoyed a spacious, clean and well appointed room, with plenty of comfortable seating. The restaurant was excellent and breakfast was good, quiet and relaxing. This is a very good hotel.
There were functions at the hotel while we were there. Despite being on the opposite side of the hotel from the music a persistent electronic beat disturbed our sleep until the early morning.

A typical grand hotel from the former days, well restored and a great building. We had a nice and spacious room, a good airconditioning, great very large comfortable bed, nice bathroom but not a separate douche. Overall what you expect from a 5* hotel
The staff was overall not very attentive, except the man at the parking lot. There was no instruction on what to do in the hotel or how to get to the beach. The beach itself was advertised as the largest private beach beloning to the hotel. We seemed to have missed the small print because you have to pay an extra 100 euro or more for a day at the beach. For this price you get a back row seat with 2 towels. This is not what we expected. Going to the pool at the hotel is not really an option. with only aprrx 45 chairs for 170 rooms this was fully occupied. The diner at the hotel was disappointing as well. No drinks offered before dinner, we had to ask for the wine list (which was excellent) but the food arrived before the wine. Overall a disgrace for a 5* hotel.

Stunning building and gardens
Staff were incredibly unpleasant. For example, I lifted a heavy suitcase on my own down the steps - no one came to help me instead they watched. The receptionists were unhelpful and rude as were the majority of the staff we encountered. They did seem to hugely favour regular guests and Italians and didn’t care about anyone else. This was meant to be a big surprise for my Mum and honestly it looked like a 5 star hotel but the treatment we received was not - very disappointed.

The building is beautiful from the outside, but is let down by tiny lifts, gym and antiquated technology.
Non existent concierge service, so we ended up carrying 40kgs of luggage up to our fourth floors bedroom. As paying residents, the hotel couldn't provide us with a table at their restaurant on two successive occasions - we sensed that priority was given to visiting parties - business, weddings etc. For access to two beach beds and towels, the hotel charged us 110 Euros per day. The flushing system in the bathroom toilet didn't work properly. We ordered cocktails, waited for an hour only to be told that the order hadn't been captured. The euro-pop "music" pumped out at ridiculous volumes (from a 'music festival') just outside of the hotel gardens was not adequately publicised by the hotel prior to booking. Overall, a truly appalling experience.

Breakfast is really good on a nice terrace
restaurant at the beach closes at 14:30 o’clock.
At 15:30 o’clock our room has not been done and the lady at the reception found it quite normal.

A fabulous, elegant building in an excellent location. Good facilities, good choice at breakfast, terrific dinner options car parking on site and the pool area was very nice. Large private beach, easily accessible.
The service was average at best, especialy for a 5* hotel. Some of the staff seemed a bit unfriendly and inattentive. On checking in, we got to our room abour 20 minutes before our luggage. We had to phone reception to remind them to send it up to us! At most hotels on our tour of Italy we have usually unpacked then ironed a few items that have become creased on the journey. But at this hotel you cannot borrow an iron!! For 'health and safety' reasons. They offer an expensive ironing service instead, but it takes days, not hours.
One day we decided to spend a day on the beach, but were quoted €85 for two towels and two sunbeds!! ( I asked if that included lunch and at least he saw the funny side).
The wi-fi was ok in the reception area but very slow in the bedroom.
There is a mini-bar in the room, but no kettle or coffee machine.
And finally ... beware of the lift. It seems to have a mind of its own and will close its doors and disappear if you're a bit slow getting in!

The architecture of this Hotel speaks for it self. This is simply amazing! The rooms are very impressive too.
As it is a 5 Star Grand Hotel I do expect a high level everywhere. Unfortunatley the food was not on this level especially and the Beach restaurant. My Pasta was cold and I asked the waiter if it should be cold or hot and he said " I don't know" this was it. The taste was not good.
It is very noisy as there must be a big Disco or something around the corner. I had all windows closed but still the party was in my room. This not the fault of the Hotel but it anoying. Nothing against Disco and partying but it has it limits somewhere.

Amazing building and grounds. Great location. Lovely beach. Beach buffet was the best. Nice rooms. Very clean.
There was no welcome from the staff or introduction to the facilities. They let us down on the last day promising a courtesy shower which was then not available. There should be a booking system. The service did not match the look of the hotel. The beach was lovely but very expensive.
