We had stayed at Villa Fraulo 10 years ago and loved it so we returned. It is charming and perfectly located. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfy. There was a lot of walking up and down stairs but the hotel on the whole was charming.

Great location. Lovely view from terrace. Friendly, welcoming staff. Large bedroom and bathroom. Very comfortable bed.
A bit shabby in some areas - the pool was particularly grotty and none of the toilets in public areas had locks on the doors and those in the pool area didnt even have functioning lights. Bedroom was spacious but decor was unattractive and very basic. Wardrobe was ridiculous- hanging rail impracticably high while depth insufficient to hang dresses - very badly designed. Terrace has so much potential to be lovely, but a bit scruffy and disorganised looking. No tea( except herbal tea) available at breakfast on the last morning of our stay - was told that someone would go and get some if I waited but it never appeared.

The hotel combines classic features with modern convenience. The view is amazing and located just a short walk into main square. The staff was incredible - they could not do enough for us.

Lovely view. Really lovely staff. Big rooms.
For the price and ratings had higher expectations of the interiors, breakfast and facilities. Staff were so friendly but didn't always know the answers to questions we'd imagine are very regular.

Very friendly and caring staff. Restaurant on terrace with lovely view. Very central location by very nice public gardens.
Unuseable wardrobe: placed above a cupboard and with very high rail . Hangers were to be removed with a pole. Impossibly difficult.

The location, stunning. The staff, excellent. The service, second-to-none. The vibe, professional. And realistically friendly.
The casual wear of many of the staff, the white-shirt-black-pants uniform suited the wonderful people better.

Tired property. Room was smelly, air conditioning was ineffective and had huge road noise. Charged us twice for the same room (on card without speaking to us) but thankfully we spotted due to notifications from our bank and got it refunded. No apologies from the hotel, Ended up leaving despite non refundable booking and really enjoyed other place. Awful. Absolute worst of Italy in our view. Still have nightmares about this one!

The location, views, the staff, breakfast and the charm and atmosphere of this hotel is beyond exceptional.
We came for 2 nights and fell in love with this mini-resort style hotel and the people. Esp. All the Marias in the reception, the wait staff. Esp. Arthuro and the owner Matteo is beyond lovely, hospitable and caring. The town and the hotel itself is magical and charming. Everything was so beautiful and divine. You must not drive around when you visit since this town is in abundance of what it has to offer and is incomparable to Amalfi coast (main town), and forget about Positano! We thought our fave was Portofino (North Italy). But happy to say this place kicks all others butt! Dont hesitate and just book. Come with an open mind and immerse yourself. If youre looking for a romantic and low key this is great too. We came for our honeymoon.
