The hotel was very central and easy to get to sights. The room was cleaned every day and had a balcony. Internet access was poor at times. The room had a fridge and cooking facilities.
The staff did not speak English and were a bit grumpy at times. Not sure what would have happened if we had needed their help!

That it was 5 minutes from the University where I had to go for work
The internet did not run on my PC. There was no breakfast. But the worst absolutely thing is that they did not gave me a receipt, which I need to be reimbursed!!

a big plus is that its very close to the center, the room was clean, staff very nice and friendly. price = quality
the area where is situated is a poor sector, dirty and stinky, so for begging you will have an unsafe and disgusting feeling. we parked the car in front from the hotel and we were a bit scared, but on the end it was everything fine.

the room was big, we had balcony the location is 10 minutes walked from the train station and 20-25 to the city center
outside was very dirty, the WiFi worked only one day, we stayed 4 days at nights from the bathroom came a really bad smell

Easy to find, size of the room, beds are OK, price is really affordable
there are some walls and other things damaged, they could be repaired, surrounding is quiet but can be sometimes noisy due to the temperament of Sicilians

People at the reception are very kind and welcoming
the location of the residence is a little far from city center and no buses around you need to walk over 20 mins to reach Central station. It is recommended for people who like to walk

The air conditioning was working good and it had a nice little balcony!
The shower heads were not really working. And there was nothing in the kitchen to cook with. No forks, no knives, no plates. Just a fridge (at least it was working).

Finally they offered the breakfasts for free
They dont speak english so much, so it was also impossible to me to order breakfast (originally it is not included) without help of an Italian colleague. The single window of the room was opened to a "lichthof". The breakfast place was above the room, so all morning I was waken up by the noises of the breakfast preparations. The street of the hotel was covered by rubish (I think that was one of the dirtiest of Palermo, what I saw).

Despite the name, this in not a hotel. There is no breakfast as advertised (a room adjacent to a communal kitchen contains a couple of cakes that remain left in the sun for days, and a kettle). There is no reception. If you have a problem and call the number of the hotel they will answer from an address across the city. They do not speak English as advertised. A couple drop by the hotel to give you the keys to check in, and to clean the rooms everyday, but if you are in your room during the hour or two they are there, your room will remain uncleaned. We had booked to stay at this place for 3 weeks and chose a hotel over a self catered apartment for the security of having a hotel reception and someone to ask re. getting around the city/recommendations/if we needed to arrange a taxi etc. But this is not a hotel despite the name. It is a series of bedsits with a communal kitchen. I would avoid this place at all costs.
